Everyone’s talking about AI. But the real shift happening inside industry? Energy. Valmet just secured a major order to advance energy production capabilities and that matters more than most people realize. Because automation, digital twins, AI optimization… none of it works at scale if the energy backbone isn’t efficient, resilient, and intelligently managed. Factories today aren’t just competing on output. They’re competing on energy efficiency, emissions, uptime, and long term stability. Smarter energy systems → stronger operations. Stronger operations → real competitive advantage. Energy isn’t background infrastructure anymore. It’s becoming the foundation of modern industrial strategy. And the companies that understand this early? They win quietly but massively. #IndustrialAutomation #EnergyTransition #SmartManufacturing

Smart EV charging isn't just about avoiding peak rates anymore. 🧠 Our AI-powered platform delivered 21% savings ($1,942) over a month by intelligently managing EV fleet charging, cutting costs from $9,532 to $7,564. Synop's optimization engine doesn't just shift load to cheaper hours. It actively reduces demand charges by smoothing power draw and keeping usage under site limits (that red line you see at 240 kW). ⚡ What does that mean for our customer? Their depot charges faster during off-peak windows and never triggers those expensive demand penalties that can make or break fleet economics. 💸 This is what fleet electrification looks like when the software works with your utility rate structure instead of against it. Want to see what AI optimization could do for your charging operation? Let's talk. #FleetElectrification #EVCharging #EnergyOptimization #Synop #AI

This year's DistribuTECH by Clarion Events will be distinctly different than past years. With the growth of hyperscalars and their increasing need to change the energy industry to meet their energy demands, this year will be about fundamental changes in building generation sources, developing interconnection arrangements, and reducing congestion. All this while both serving AI (and its demand) and using AI to solve those problems. Utilities are no longer keeping AI on the periphery, but starting to use it in core functions to solve deep, systemic problems in grid development. I am looking forward to a tectonic shift in the utility industry. #electricutilities #gridofthefuture #maximizingeconomics

As we enter the first week of February 2026, the energy sector is focused on a major transition: the shift from monitoring to Agentic AI. This week, utilities are deploying autonomous AI agents that don't just analyze data but act as the grid's "central nervous system" to manage the massive electricity demand from AI data centers, which is now growing at twice the rate of overall energy demand. With "Winter Storm Fern" recently testing our infrastructure, the spotlight is on Virtual Power Plants (VPPs) that use these AI agents to automatically coordinate home batteries and industrial loads to stabilize the grid in real-time. By blurring the lines between generation and consumption, 2026 is proving that an intelligent, self-balancing system is the most effective way to ensure reliable, affordable power during the toughest winter months. #EnergyTech #2026Trends #AgenticAI #GridResilience #CleanEnergy

AI is driving a new energy reality for data centres ⚡ In Data Centre Magazine, Andrew Bradner SVP Cooling Business at Schneider Electric, explains why traditional air cooling is reaching its limits as rack densities push beyond 100kW and why direct-to-chip liquid cooling is becoming essential. Liquid cooling can cut energy use by up to 60%, reduce water dependency and support the next generation of GPU-dense AI infrastructure. As AI demand accelerates, sustainable cooling is now core strategy not optional. Read the full feature in the magazine 👇 #DataCentres #AIInfrastructure #LiquidCooling #Sustainability

AI is only as responsible as the infrastructure beneath it. Northward Star brings clean energy and intelligent systems together through solar powered, locally deployed compute. Designed to operate quietly and intentionally, this infrastructure supports modern workloads without relying on distant, energy intensive systems. This is not anti AI. It is pro responsibility. #DigitalInfrastructure #CleanEnergy #ResponsibleAI #EdgeComputing #EnergySystems

⚡️ We’re proud to share: GridCARE has been selected as a case study in the World Economic Forum's Innovation Playbook for Future Power Systems, launched at #Davos 2026. AI is driving a once-in-a-generation surge in electricity demand — and the grid has to respond faster than business as usual. The Playbook highlights market-ready innovations already being deployed, and GridCARE is featured under AI-enabled interconnection platforms. Everyone assumes the grid is out of capacity. But usable headroom is often hiding in plain sight. GridCARE makes it actionable — so data centers can move faster and utilities can make confident decisions while maintaining a reliable and affordable grid. Huge thanks to the WEF Future of Power Systems team and to Portland General Electric for partnering with us to prove what’s possible. 🔗 Read the case study: https://lnkd.in/gaQ-mxC6 #WorldEconomicForum #PowerSystems #FutureOfPowerSystems #PowerSystemsPlaybook #Davos #GridInnovation #Interconnection #DataCenters #AI

AI isn't a luxury for your EV charging network. It is insurance. In the UK, rapid public charge points have to average 99% reliability across a network. It’s not a target, it’s the regulation. And reliability directly affects EV adoption (the public), drivers’ trust (your clients), and profitability (your business). Every charger streams telemetry (status, errors, sessions, comms, power draw) to a central system. Ideally, via open protocols like OCPP. With AI, you can spot anomalies fast (comms drop patterns, repeated payment failures, thermal derating). It classifies the likely root cause and suggests the next best action. It might be remote reset, firmware rollback/update, configuration change, payment back-end check. Or dispatch a technician, once remote options are exhausted. The benefits are something that your P&L can really feel. Minutes to find the fault. Not hours or days. And higher uptime means higher utilisation and revenue. Less churn. It worked last time, you will hear your clients saying. It is a retention lever. Customer expectations are met consistently. Fewer truck rolls. Remote fixes and smarter dispatch cut wasted site visits, saving you a decent amount of money. Cheaper power at hubs. Dynamic load management uses real-time monitoring to allocate site capacity across chargers without tripping limits or overbuilding the connection. Some of the companies with AI products/tools/features for monitoring EV charging networks: Driivz, ChargeLab, AMPECO, Ampcontrol, Solidstudio, Tridens Technology, WattsUp, Monta. I am curious, exactly what percentage of error codes their AI automatically resolves without human intervention? #EVCharging #Eromobility #EnergyTransition #AI #CleanTech
