Bullhorn, a provider of software to staffing firms, announced a new research and data website called Bullhorn Insights to provide increased visibility in the labor market. Contingent labor is a leading indicator for the employment market, with temporary labor contracting one to two quarters prior to contractions in the broader employment market, according to Bullhorn. Similarly, staffing and temporary employment expand rapidly ahead of jobs growth. With this in mind, Bullhorn said its data will provide foresight into emerging patterns in workforce demand. The new site includes the SIA | Bullhorn Staffing Indicator, which tracks hours worked in the temporary staffing industry; it also includes Bullhorn’s Grid, or Global Recruitment Insights and Data, which tracks information from staffing leaders and job seekers on a global basis.

Candidate Satisfaction is Declining... According to the 2025 Bullhorn GRID Report, Candidate satisfaction has continued to reduce. 🔻 Candidates feel that speed and responsiveness from agencies is down by 20% 🔻 Many Candidates feel their applications disappear into a black hole. 🔻 Job boards that are available 24/7 are becoming the preferred go-to for Candidates over recruitment agencies. This shift is concerning. Candidates are increasingly reluctant to work with Recruiters, due to the lack of feedback and engagement. This is where technology can support... - 85% of Candidates said they would continue working with a Recruiter or agency if onboarding was automated. - Candidates are comfortable to AI-powered communication, as long as it’s fast, supports the process, and leads to real Recruiter interaction. There’s a clear opportunity here: Agencies that prioritise tech-enabled engagement, responsiveness, and consistent follow-up will build stronger more loyal Candidates.
