You can clearly see that the users are not happy with the ai search feature of google. So, what does it mean? I believe it will massively effect the number of users and a large chunk will go to other search engines like Search Gpt, etc. Why it's happening ❓(my perspective) 1) Majority pf the People trust google to get the most accurate results for their queries and people are not trusting the AI results for now. 2) Ai search is new and it will take time to gain trust and I believe it become more credibile source over time. 3) Currently users are going with other AI powered sources like ChatGPT, Gemini AI etc to try to find the piece of information they need from AI and they are not allowing google to provide information powdered by AI as they are already comfortable with them via engaging directly. My prediction ✍️ about Google: I believe Google is constantly losing the trust in eyes of it's old users which gonna massively hurt the revenue of the google and the market share as well. Some of the biggest differences I've noticed on the engineering side working in a start-up like environment within Google X vs building a product from scratch at DealPage: 1. Infrastructure: at X, everything ran on Google infra. It was extremely reliable, but there was a learning curve to really understand how jobs were scheduled and executed. At DealPage, we rely on various infra providers which abstract away a lot of the complexity. 2. Buy vs Build: Almost everything at Google X is built in house or by Google. At DealPage, we look for open source solutions as often as we can, and resort to buying only when no good open source option exists and we don't have the capabilities to build it ourselves. 3. Execution Speed: I thought I was moving fast at X with a small team. Building a product from 0 and launching last year during YC was a different story, especially when your team is just two people. Curious if anyone else has had a similar experience?

Well, there was a Christmas present I wasn't expecting. It appears that more than 12 years continuous experience, well over 50 deployments with upwards of 250 user mailboxes in multiple countries, is no longer deemed sufficient to retain Partner / Reseller status of Google Workspace. The entry requirements appear to have been raised to levels only attainable by very much larger businesses than my part-time offering, adding qualification requirements without grandfather rights, and more qualified staff members than I have ever even employed. So thanks Google, for apparently nothing. Having built your customer base through the good offices of smaller, more agile businesses like mine, who were prepared to invest time, effort and knowledge, as well as own both the support and billing agreements for initial adopters, you're basically cutting off that revenue stream, without consultation, assistance or compensation. How this affects my service provision remains to be explored. Customers will be contacted individually before anything changes. It's been a good, long ride but a disappointly bitter end. Call me naive but I did expect better.

As for the #CEOs of #Google, #LarryPage was the first CEO until #2001. After that, EricSchmidt took over from 2001 to 2011, dramatically changed the company, and made it into the behemoth we all know today. #Google #GoogleIndia
