🧵 3 days ago I posted this on socials. I had a skeleton of an app where only user auth sort-of worked. Today I have a solid prototype that can post threads or long-form posts on LinkedIn and X. Here's some info about this with some highlights ✨ I spent roughly 15 hours on this using @cursor_ai with Claude-3.5-sonnet. I almost exceeded my fast requests quota that I got in the trial 😅 Despite minor hiccups, using Cursor felt fantastic, I had so many "WOAH" moments that I lost count. This honestly feels like a sci-fi movie and turned my development workflow upside down. I'm re-adjusting how I work because I am absolutely going to stick to this. I just need to figure out an effective BDD flow where AI can assist me effectively. ⭐ Things that absolutely blew my mind include: 1) It helped me implement a pretty tricky integration with Snappify where I type a code block and it gets converted to a code image automagically 2) It implemented entire authorization flow for Twitter and added support for posting media and attaching them to tweets - a lot of tricky oauth stuff and it just worked 😱 ps. see attached image - this was auto-generated by the app and its Snappify integration 🪄 3) It implemented posts index with post tiles and filters - this entire page took maybe 5 minutes to build with Cursor ...and more, way more. I am still processing the scale and potential of this. It gives me wings and a 1000x productivity boost. The app is a prototype with no tests, surely not ready for production BUT DAMN it's such a solid start that I am able to make it production ready now. Let me know if you've got similar experience or am I just AI-drunk now and need to sober up to look at this more critically 🤣 Oh and if you like what I'm building for cross-posting do let me know - seriously considering launching this as a product. /END ps. I'm posting this via the app, I hope it will work haha #programming #ai #aicoding #cursorai #socialmedia

7moVery similar experience over here but I've not really pushed it to the same degree you have. I've got an idea for some observability software for Rails - a simple gem with a bunch of cool helper methods for things I wish existed. I created a very basic version of it using cursor but I'm at a conference next week so busy prepping for that.
