This weekend saw the Grand Opening of The Singapore Pavilion at the Expo 2025 Osaka! The opening ceremony was graced by Singapore’s Ambassador to Japan and Commissioner General of the Singapore Pavilion, His Excellency Ong Eng Chuan, alongside distinguished guests from across government, business and cultural sectors from both Japan and Singapore. Guests were treated to a vibrant performance by The Island Voices, showcasing the spirit of Singaporean talent, and sampled local favourites such as chicken rice and satay. We are incredibly proud to present Singapore to the world. Since the opening of the Expo, we have received positive feedback from visitors, with many of whom have been captivated by the multi-sensorial exhibits in ‘The Dream Sphere’. Inspired by the overarching theme of dreams, the Singapore Pavilion tells the story of how the “Little Red Dot” dreams boldly beyond limits. The Dream Sphere is not only a symbol of who we are as a nation, but also an embodiment of how we carry and communicate Singapore’s story, spirit and aspirations to the world. Bringing this architectural vision and overarching narrative to life would not be possible without the collaborative efforts of our partners DP Architects, Finding Pictures, Kingsmen Creatives Ltd, Milla & Partner, and Presplay Pte Ltd. From the innovative superstructure design to the powerful stories within, we hope it continues welcoming visitors from far and wide to discover where and how dreams take flight in our city-state.
