When design, technology, AI, and humor collide. I’ve been busy in the design studio lately developing a new collection of over 40 new product concepts for licensing. Today, I’m sharing the DaVincia vase as the first pitch to include video. The journey from idea to video is a new process, so I wanted to push the boundaries of my own hybrid workflow: PHASE 1 : Ideation & Sketching – Good old-fashioned rounds of sketching to find the right silhouette. PHASE 2 : 3D Modeling & Prototyping – Bringing the form to life in Rhino for modeling, rendering, and printing physical prototypes on my Bambu Lab printer to verify. PHASE 3: The Pitch – Using AI-generated "spokespeople" to tell the story. I’ve recruited the master himself – Leonardo DaVinci – to give you the guided tour. Because if you’re going to name a vase after a genius, you might as well let him do the talking! I’m a firm believer that we should use every tool in the shed – from sketching to 3D modeling to rendering (with and without AI) – to make the presentation as engaging as the product itself. I’d love to hear your thoughts: 1) Would you use an AI "avatar" to pitch your creative concepts? 2) Would you like to see a "Behind the Scenes / Making Of" video on how I built this workflow? #3d #AI #design #rhino #kling #bambu

This is absolutely breathtaking. I mean, the tools, the phases are completely understand and the summary. Outstanding, such a powerful short, a great commercial, a great product sales clip. I mean talk about putting this in the Olympics, for example, with such great commercials, but this Woodcocks are everyone once again view.\nRaised the bar and I'm thankful for the reconnection.I am going to repost this tomorrow

A fun way to present a elegant design. Well done!

Dave. you are one of the best product designers I've every worked with, and your designs are magic. I regularly use AI to vet my work, but it I don't have it pitch it to me, then to others like me, then to everyone else to make sure I'm getting the coverage and feedback I need. Yes, a behind the scenes video would be cool!

Fun video and beautiful vase!
