How AI can make you a better writer

This title was summarized by AI from the post below.

AI won’t steal your job. But the writer using it might. That’s the truth no one wants to say out loud. Because while some writers are still debating whether AI is “real writing”... Others are quietly using it to: Beat writer’s block Test headlines in seconds Repurpose long essays into viral snippets And double their publishing pace — without doubling their stress They’re not replacing their creativity. They’re augmenting it. And in a world that rewards speed, clarity, and connection? That’s an edge. The AI-wielding writer still has to know how to tell a story. Still has to know their audience. Still has to have something to say. But now? They get to say it louder. Faster. More often. So the question isn’t: “Will AI take my job?” It’s: “Am I willing to fall behind just to protect my pride?” Use the tool. Sharpen your edge. And keep your voice at the center of it all.

Re: "AI won’t steal your job. But the writer using it might." I beg to differ.

BOOM! Wow, Sandy - you hit the nail on the head. Can I republish this? :)

Idk I am a real writer so I will continue to keep really writing 🤔😆💗💘

AI is not a tool, it is a crutch.

It depends who is looking to hire these writers. I will not hire any editor who uses AI. If any author pitches something that involves AI, it's an instant rejection. Yes it can "speed up" publishing, but it doesn't matter how quick it is if the end result is just slop?

Literally everyone is saying this though. Like verbatim.

Refusing to use AI is like refusing to use a calculator in a maths test when there not rule against using one.

AI won't steal your job. But the writer using it might. For about ten minutes. Then AI will steal their job.

What about the ethics of AI as it pertains to writing, and the need for guardrails and sound policy preventing or at least curtailing its improper use? This is also something no one seems to want to say out loud. Another thing that's kept pretty quiet is that there's no "I" in AI. You use the word "steal", but when you pare it down, how is AI really anything other than the aggregated theft of someone else's work? I'm all for working smarter, better, etc, but these are serious questions that demand serious consideration as this nascent tech matures.

Hard disagree! AI is a theft machine that has no originality! I don't understand how people can use it! "Augmenting" creativity?! Creativity is part of being human! It should NEVER be outsourced!!!
