I missed my post on SharePoint's 25 years, so as not to miss the fun - I remember installing WSS 3.0 (Windows SharePoint Server) and seeing the web UI and thinking wow - this is going to change how we work. Over that time, we witnessed so many changes and improvements - Performance Point was still one of my favs (Infopath a close 2nd). I won't miss the Farm upgrades... Today SharePoint is the pre-eminent platform for document management - along with an outstanding platform for intranets and knowledge. With Agents, fillable columns, power platform integration and more - SharePoint is your first-class platform to build the foundation of knowledge. Long Live SharePoint #SPO #SharePoint

I recently had an interesting requirement from a client. I helped them build an Intranet portal and created a page with links to various forms and templates they used within the organization. However, when clicking on a link, they wanted files to download directly to the user’s computer instead of opening in the browser, which is the default behavior of any document link in SharePoint. Luckily, there are a few ways to achieve this in SharePoint, which I am happy to share with you below. I will first explain each option and then explain the nuances/pros, and cons of each: https://lnkd.in/ezmTdMaC #SharePoint #Microsoft365

Did you know that it is possible to lighten the command bar of a SharePoint list… without writing a single line of SPFx? By simply using JSON, you can hide the buttons you don’t need like Export, Forms, etc. Result: a clearer, more intuitive interface, and better comfort for users. A small visual customization, but a real gain in readability and productivity! SharePoint continues to show how flexible it is… even without advanced development. #SharePoint #Microsoft365 #Productivity #TipOfTheDay #DigitalWorkplace #JSON

Hi everyone, I’m currently working on a SharePoint On-Premises environment where several portals are already implemented and heavily dependent on SharePoint Designer 2013 workflows. The challenge I’m facing is: 👉 Installing SharePoint Designer 2013 on Windows 11 is becoming difficult due to compatibility issues and security vulnerabilities. At this stage, migrating to Power Automate is not an immediate option, as we need to modify and maintain existing workflows in the current setup. 💡 Looking for suggestions: Is there any reliable way to install or run SharePoint Designer 2013 on Windows 11? Any workarounds (VM, compatibility mode, older components, etc.) that have worked for you? How are others maintaining legacy workflows in similar on-prem environments? Your insights and experience would be really helpful! #SharePoint #SharePointDesigner #Windows11 #Workflow #OnPremise #ITSupport #Microsoft365
