It was fascinating serving as a judge at this year’s QS Quacquarelli Symonds Reimagine Education Awards a global platform spotlighting innovation in higher education. A few key takeaways stood out: 🎓 AI in higher education is accelerating — but evidence is lagging. There’s no shortage of pilots and promise. Yet, few initiatives are systematically measuring impact or planning how to scale. The sector needs stronger implementation methodologies to ensure AI delivers real value for their institution 💡 Digital skills are surging, but values and behaviors are being overlooked. Most innovation is focused on tools and technical competencies, not on nurturing the mindsets, ethics, values and human capabilities that make technology meaningful. 🏛️ Time to rethink the 4-year degree model. The future of learning must be more flexible and responsive.
