One of my favorite companies in the world just got a little more agile. Love what these folks create and how they treat artists and technology.
A new era begins at Meow Wolf! Welcome to this wild and profound entity, Matthew Henick — so psyched to have your passion, expertise, and leadership here to help carry us through this next phase. Talked to the founders today… we realized that since 2008, we’ve traversed through 10 distinct eras. This will now be our 11th. And each one came with remarkable learnings, incredible growth, and humbling maturity. The journey has been filled with an absurd amount of brilliant and hard work by thousands of people, with some of the most miraculously joyous moments of achievement and some of the most gut-wrenching moments of challenge and loss. But here we still stand, pointed towards a whole new paradigm of art and storytelling. And we have a CEO in Matthew who has a deep love for Meow Wolf, a true understanding of art and artists, and a rare technological perspective on the future of storytelling. Couldn’t be more pumped for this next monumental phase. Big thanks to all of the courageous leaders that got us this far and positioned us for such an unbelievable future. Whether it was the radical strengthening of our LBE delivery capabilities, or expanding Meow Wolf into LA, NYC, and into global story media — the Chief Executive leadership from folks like Ali Rubinstein, Carl Christensen, Jim Ward, and Jose Tolosa has been a true gift of dedication and transformation that helped to build one of the greatest creative companies in the world. Thank you. And in this moment especially, a massive thank you to Rebecca Campbell for leading our company over the last year in the interim role. The ambition has been elevated, the communication has been focused, the creativity has been valued, the humans have been honored, and the future has been fully embraced under your leadership. Here we go, the wild ride rides on. ❤️🙌🏼❤️ https://lnkd.in/gt9YSfxj
