I just attended a super interesting workshop hosted by initMAX s.r.o. at #ZabbixSummit2025. They have used an ESP32 device equipped with AI and a camera to read water or gas meter values. The values are then sent to Zabbix, the graph is displayed on a dashboard and in case of irregularities you can even send mobile alerts using SIGNL4. This is a basic setup but the potential is huge when it comes to OT or IoT. You can monitor visual gauges without the need to interfere with machines.
