You're not too old to master AI tools for your job search. I keep hearing veterans say "I'm not tech-savvy enough for this AI stuff" or "I'll stick to the old-fashioned way." Wrong mindset. Here's what happens: You avoid AI because it seems complicated. You spend hours manually tailoring each resume. You research companies the hard way. You write cover letters from scratch every single time. Meanwhile, other candidates are using AI to apply to 10x more positions in half the time. Guess who's getting more interviews? The truth: AI isn't rocket science. It's a tool, like any other piece of equipment you learned to operate in the military. This is just another system to learn, and it’s dead simple. Complete your profile on BestMilitaryResume.com and every AI-powered tool you need is right there. One click away. Resume optimization. Interview prep. Cover letter generation. LinkedIn optimization. No YouTube tutorials. No trial and error. No figuring it out alone. Because the mission hasn't changed: Get the job. The tools just got better. Stop telling yourself you can't learn new tricks. We’ve made it easy! -Brad Founder, BestMilitaryResume.com | Navy Veteran | Helping Veterans Get Hired! Embrace your past, build your future. → www.bestmilitaryresume.com

93% of job seekers are now using AI to optimize their resumes, write cover letters, and prep for interviews. But here's what nobody's talking about: AI is solving the wrong problem. I watched a VP spend 6 weeks perfecting his resume with ChatGPT. Beautiful bullet points. Optimized keywords. ATS-friendly formatting. He sent it to 147 positions. Got 11 rejections. Zero interviews. The problem wasn't his resume. It was that he was applying to jobs that were already filled. 72% of executive positions never hit job boards. They're filled through relationships, internal transitions, and direct outreach—the hidden market. AI can write your resume. It can't tell you which doors to knock on. It can optimize your LinkedIn headline. It can't build the relationships that get you in the room. It can prep you for behavioral interview questions. It can't teach you how to negotiate a $40K salary increase when you feel desperate. Mid-career professionals are using AI for efficiency in a game that rewards strategy. You're polishing applications for posted positions while competitors are getting offers for roles that don't exist yet. You're optimizing for algorithms when hiring managers are making decisions over coffee with people they trust. AI is a tool. But without the right strategy, it's just helping you fail faster. The executives landing roles in 30-60 days aren't choosing between AI and human guidance. They're using both. AI handles the execution: resume optimization, LinkedIn profiles, interview prep scripts. Human expertise handles the strategy: which opportunities to pursue, how to position 15 years of experience as an asset, how to navigate the hidden market, how to negotiate from strength even when you feel vulnerable. AI makes you efficient. Strategy makes you effective. You need both. But if you're spending more time perfecting your resume with ChatGPT than you are building strategic relationships and accessing the hidden market, you're optimizing the wrong variable. The question isn't whether to use AI for your job search. It's whether you have the strategy to make AI worth using in the first place. What's your experience using AI for your career transition? Drop a comment below - I'm curious what's working (and what's not).

📄 Resume: “Still relevant.” 🧠 AI: “Not for long.” As AI rewrites how candidates present themselves, hiring teams need new ways to see past the polish. That’s why more employers are turning to skills assessments and job simulations to uncover real ability. The resume may not be dead yet—but it’s definitely coughing.
