Hard to believe a BMW is ranked so high in reliability. You will need a Brinks truck to pay for repairs.

The picked Subaru Corporation as #1 for example! and BMW Group was 2nd! Wow how is Porsche not even on your list? First: J.D. Power 2025 U.S. Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS): Porsche ranked third among premium brands and eighth overall, with a score of 186 problems per 100 vehicles (PP100), which is better than the industry average of 202 PP100. Second: Consumer Reports 2026 Overall Brand Report Card Rankings: Porsche secured the third position overall among all brands, a strong result based on a combination of predicted reliability, owner satisfaction, and road-test scores.

Need to stop riding Toyota’s band wagon for real. There’s nothing impressive by using old technology that has a proven record and reluctant to push for innovation. You buy a 2025 4Runner vs 2015 4Runner I’m not sure what the difference is. Look what happens to their reliability when they try to do something outside of the box, GR Corolla and the new Tundra for example. There’s no USP to a Toyota except reliability. BMW on the other hand have finally made the ultimate driving machine reasonably reliable. That’s the real winner on this list

Really - besides the many inconsistencies, I worry that this will be soon be the norm since we will have models learning from such publicly available reports!

I had 5 Toyotas and have one now. The best quality of the others I had (Mazda, Grand Am, Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Geo Metro). My next one will be Toyota, RAV4 Hybrid.

Would it be possible to extract from the list of manufacturers, the EVs only, and re-issuing the list?
