Ramya Chinnadurai’s Post

In 2022, I won $10,000 from Twitter. A few months later, everything we were promised disappeared. Here’s the story I rarely talk about 👇 In Nov 2020, we started our company with big hopes. No revenue. No traction. Our first product failed - not because it was bad, but because we didn’t know how to sell. On Feb 5, 2022, we launched TweetsMash. Twitter tools were trending. Builders were shipping fast. For the first time, we saw real users… and real money. Then came the Twitter Chirp Developer Challenge (2022). 150+ products. We won first place. 🥇 Prize money: $10,000 - the biggest amount we had ever made. They invited us to the conference in US. Promised 1 year of marketing support. It felt like everything had finally turned around. And then   Elon Musk acquired Twitter.  Twitter became X.  Our invite was cancelled. The marketing support vanished. What stayed?  The $10k. That’s it. So we went back to zero - again. But this time, we were different. We learned marketing step by step. We studied users. We survived competition, AI waves, and constant change. Life happened too: • I became a mom • My co-founder Karthikeyan Kumar became a dad • We lived in different countries & time zones Still, we adapted. Today, we run two profitable SaaS products: • TweetsMash • LinkedMash Not viral success. Not overnight growth. Just consistent learning → survival → sustainability. If there’s one thing this journey taught me: If I can do this - starting with zero clarity, zero revenue, and multiple restarts - you can too. Progress isn’t loud. But it compounds.

Really inspiring to see how you kept going despite all the setbacks Thanks for sharing your valuable marketing insights. I’ve learned a lot from our conversations.

Super rams keep going 💪🏻👏🏻👏🏻🎉 It's truly inspirational

This is really inspiring! Thanks for sharing. People usually only see the wins, not the setbacks, restarts, and persistence behind them. Stories like this are such an important reminder of what it actually takes to build something meaningful.

Good results never fail to follow persistence.

I can definitely vouch for the work that you've been doing! I've been using TweetsMash for almost 2 years now and it's worth every penny. I wish you the best and I look forward to your future endeavours!

Have been following your journey for years now. You and Karthikeyan are an inspiration. Onwards and upwards !
