📦 India’s Logistics & Supply Chain: Entering a Decade of Strategic Growth India’s logistics and supply chain sector is on the cusp of a transformative decade. Fueled by infrastructure expansion, policy reforms like Gati Shakti and the National Logistics Policy, rapid digitisation, and global supply chain realignments — the industry is projected to exceed USD 380 billion by 2030. *Opportunities span across - 🚚 express distribution, ❄️cold chain, 🏭 contract logistics, warehousing, and 🤖 tech-driven 3PL solutions — all evolving beyond traditional service models into integrated value networks. 🔑 But in this new era, success will depend less on scale and more on 🧭 strategic clarity, 🤝 collaboration, and 📈 intelligent design. Businesses that reimagine networks, embrace technology, and build the right ecosystem partnerships will lead the next wave of growth. ~ An increasingly critical factor in this journey is 🌱 ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) compliance — now a key criterion for investors and global partners. Companies that integrate ESG principles into their operations not only enhance their sustainability profile but also strengthen their investment readiness and long-term competitiveness. 💡 The future of logistics isn’t just about moving goods — it’s about building resilient, responsible, and future-ready supply chains that power sustainable growth. 💭 Share your thoughts on how the sector can evolve — and explore collaboration opportunities at 📩 debasish@sdcapitalpartners.ae #Logistics #SupplyChain #Strategy #ESG #IndiaGrowth #3PL #ColdChain #Warehousing #GlobalPartnerships #FutureReady #StrategicAdvisory

📦 India: The New Global Supply Chain Heartland The global supply chain is undergoing a monumental shift, and India is rapidly emerging as its new strategic heartland. 🌍 Recent operational data confirms this trend is accelerating, fueled by necessity and massive growth: • 70% of APAC 3PL firms are planning significant expansion into India in the next two years. • The primary driver is the explosion of e-commerce and 'quick commerce,' demanding localized, ultra-fast delivery networks. • This is the new reality of risk mitigation: major global players are building vast local supply chain ecosystems, establishing a clear "China-plus-one" strategy. For Operations and Logistics leaders, this is more than just a business opportunity; it's a critical operational challenge. Success will hinge on mastering three key areas: Network Agility: Transitioning from rigid linear flows to highly adaptable, fluid distribution models. Strategic Automation: Deploying robotics and AS/RS (Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems) to handle the speed of modern fulfillment. Local Mastery: Navigating the unique complexities of infrastructure, talent acquisition, and compliance at a rapid scale. My take: The next decade's most competitive supply chains will be those that have successfully moved beyond the pilot phase and mastered India's diverse operational landscape. #SupplyChainManagement #Logistics #GlobalTrade #EmergingMarkets #Operations #IndiaGrowth #3PL

India is becoming the top choice for expansion among third-party logistics (3PL) players in the APAC region, Asian News International (ANI) reports, citing CBRE data. About 70% of firms are looking to increase their presence in the country over the next two years, the report says. "Fuelled by resilient economic growth, India is emerging as a premier destination for warehousing expansion among businesses,” says Anshuman Magazine, Chairman and CEO — India, South-East Asia, Middle East & Africa, CBRE. Delhi, followed by Mumbai and Bengaluru, are the top three cities with the largest 3PL hubs in the country, the report further says. Nearly 80% of 3PL firms in India aim to widen their portfolio by over 10% in the next two to five years. This is fueled by more demand from e-commerce, quick commerce, and the rise of smaller cities as growth markets. These firms accounted for 40%–50% of total leasing activity between 2021 and 2024, and over 30% in the first half of 2025. There is also a noticeable shift towards future-ready warehousing solutions aimed at supporting rapid business growth and boosting competitiveness. Moreover, nearly 76% of the surveyed companies are implementing warehouse management software in their logistics operations, the report further says. Internet of Things sensors, conveyor and sortation systems, and Goods-to-Person picking systems are some of the emerging technologies being adopted by these companies, the report adds.
