Rajeev Ranjan’s Post

I am honored to share that this weekend I received the Terman Award, given to the top 30 students in each graduating class at Stanford's School of Engineering. As part of the award ceremony, I was asked to recognize a Stanford advisor and secondary school teacher who had an impact on my academic trajectory. I chose to recognize two women who have had a profound impact on my life, Dr. Megan Ma, my advisor at Stanford's LIFT Lab, and Ms. Bonnie Belshe, my high school AP US History teacher. There are very few role models who have had as much of an impact on my academic and personal growth as the educators who have taught me how to approach learning, how to critically think about the world around me and critically think about myself, and how to believe that I can do what I set my mind to at any stage of my life. It has taken a village of people to get me where I am today; these two amazing mentors are fundamental members of that village. This award is more for them than me :)
