We just finalized our Production Animation Program for schools—and this one matters. At QUED-UP, we’ve moved beyond teaching animation as a “fun activity.” We’re now delivering a studio-style Production Animation program that shows students how creative work actually gets made. Our standard model runs 16 weeks, aligned to a traditional semester. During that time, students work in teams to: Develop story concepts Design characters and assets Animate scenes Collaborate in defined production roles Deliver a finished animated short Just like a real studio pipeline. What schools appreciate most is the structure: ✔️ Clear scope & sequence ✔️ Defined student deliverables ✔️ Assessment rubrics and teacher grading tools ✔️ Portfolio-ready student work While 16 weeks is our anchor, the program is designed to be adaptable—so it can fit different schedules without losing rigor or outcomes. This is about more than animation. It’s about collaboration, accountability, creative problem-solving, and exposing students to real career pathways. If you’re a school leader, educator, or partner interested in bringing structured creative programs to students, I’d love to connect. — Quittman Farmer Founder, QUED-UP #Education #STEAM #AnimationEducation #CareerReadiness #CTE #CreativeCareers #K12Innovation #QUEDUP

After teaching 2410 students, my biggest mistakes? (At first I thought that animation didn't belong in school) But in reality, animation can get kids excited to learn. Avoid my mistakes and use animation to: 1. Ignite creativity in young minds. 2. Enhance learning through visual storytelling. 3. Foster emotional expression and empathy. The result? Elevated engagement & critical thinking skills. Animation is a powerful and innovative educational tool. What do you do to inspire imagination?

Yesterday, Datsi School for Storytellers conducted a hands-on session at MOUNT SEENA COLLEGE OF ARTS & SCIENCE, LAKKIDI, Palakkad, in association with ASAP Community Skill Park Lakkidi The focus was on animation filmmaking and the importance of strong storytelling, introduced through stop motion animation. Our mentor suresh ec began with a breakdown of how hand-drawn animation functions within a digital space using Blender. In just a few frames, students could see how movement, timing, and observation transform simple drawings into narrative. For many participants, this was their first exposure to animation, especially stop motion. The students were divided into ten groups and asked to develop their own stories. Using organically sourced materials, simple props, natural lighting, mobile and a tripod, they framed characters and constructed scenes from scratch. The results were varied and imaginative. Some films lasted a minute, others only seconds, but each carried intention and creative thought. What stood out most was not the tools, but the shift in perspective. Animation is not only about software. It is about learning to observe, interpret, and communicate through motion. Sessions like these reaffirm how creative exposure can reshape how students see stories, light, space, and movement. 🚆✨ Animation Video – Cones on the Rails ✨🚆 Stories that children love to hear and read are now coming to life through animation. Cones on the Rails is a creative and meaningful project that turns everyday traffic cones into curious young characters with adventures, lessons, and imagination at the heart of every story. Credits Go To: Written by: Chris Madeley Featuring: Keith Madeley MBE at The Cones Books Published by: Fisher King Publishing Animation by: Trinity Vision in collaboration with Leeds Trinity University Promoted by: The Business TV Channel By bringing traffic cones to life, the author has created a universal way of communicating with children — free from the constraints of culture, colour, race, or religion. In these stories, all Cones are equal, present everywhere, and have lives of their own. The young Cones are fascinated by human behaviour and eager to learn. Each adventure blends fun, discovery, and important life lessons, helping children understand: • How to navigate challenges safely • Awareness of their surroundings • Respect for the environment • Protecting fauna and flora • Making positive choices in everyday situations A wonderful blend of storytelling, creativity, and education designed to inspire young minds 🌱 Website Link: https://lnkd.in/ehxpdzCB #ChildrensStories #ConesOnTheRails #KidsAnimation #EducationalStories #BusinessTVChannel

Learning through Fundamentals 🎬 “This animation helped me understand why timing and spacing are more important than effects.” I focused on core animation principles like Timing & Spacing, Ease In–Ease Out, Anticipation, and Arcs because they directly define how believable motion feels. Timing and spacing helped communicate weight and intent, ease in–out brought natural acceleration and deceleration, anticipation improved clarity and impact of actions, and arcs added organic flow to avoid mechanical movement. Instead of treating these as rules, I used them as problem-solving tools to make the motion readable, natural, and emotionally convincing. This assignment reinforced that strong fundamentals matter more than visual polish. Objective: To animate a simple object while applying core animation principles and focusing on clarity, weight, and timing. Process followed: • Started with pose-to-pose blocking for strong readability • Focused on timing & spacing to communicate weight • Refined ease-in and ease-out to avoid mechanical motion • Used arcs and overlap to bring organic flow Principles applied: Timing & Spacing | Ease In–Ease Out | Anticipation | Arcs Principles applied: • Timing & Spacing – to communicate mass • Ease In / Ease Out – to avoid robotic motion • Arcs – for organic movement • Anticipation – to make actions readable Key learning: Simple objects demand stronger fundamentals. Good animation doesn’t shout — it feels right. This animation strengthened my understanding of motion fundamentals and reinforced the importance of process over polish. Looking forward to applying these learnings in production-level animation work. #Animation #MotionDesign #AnimationPrinciples #LearningByDoing #CreativeProcess #Cinema4D #DesignThinking #Animationfundamentals.

Animation has evolved from being purely an entertainment medium to becoming a transformative force in education. By turning static information into dynamic visual narratives, animation enhances understanding and retention. Beyond enhancing classroom experiences, animation education builds essential skills such as creativity, problem-solving, and storytelling. As e-learning platforms grow, animated content continues to redefine how knowledge is delivered. For aspiring creatives, this presents a powerful career opportunity. With the right training, animation can become both a skill and a profession.
