No medical practice is the same as another. And it can be argued that certain industries thrive with a one-size-fits-all approach, but an RCM company is not one of them. At the minimum, the RCM company you choose has to be able to handle everything it NEEDS to. But that begs the question, why are you jumping ship to an RCM that isn't doing anything unique or special for your practice? Practice𝑓𝑖𝑟𝑠𝑡's baseline is everything an RCM needs to do, but we go a step further by tailoring our services specifically to your practice. For example, a basic RCM might not be suited for a specialty practice (think Oncology or Orthopedics). However, we would have the knowledge and capacity to know and execute specialty codes affiliated with these services. We would have the data and analytics to forecast changes to best optimize your revenue, being proactive instead of reactive to potential claim denials. We would also have the step ahead on compliance and certifications, making sure your staff is well-equipped to handle any legal risks or affiliated challenges. If an RCM tries to sell you on a "one-size-fits-all" approach, be weary instead of impressed. Choose an RCM that will mold to what you do, not the other way around.
