Are you fully utilizing the accessibility features available in Desktop? Leaders in BI organizations should consider their company's stance on accessibility. These are critical decisions that BI leaders or Power BI admins should discuss with leadership. When the importance of accessibility is recognized, the company needs to commit resources and time to ensure reports are accessible. This requires a commitment at higher organizational levels to prioritize and integrate these features into reports. #accessibility #BIleadership #PowerBI #inclusivedesign #businesstechnology #dataaccessibility https://lnkd.in/gqkHHY-d

Dashboards don’t solve problems — people do I love dashboards. I build them all the time. But here’s the truth: a dashboard won’t fix bad business decisions. Data is a guide. People still need to act on it, and leadership still needs to trust it. 👉 Do you think most companies actually use their dashboards, or just admire them? #BusinessIntelligence #DataStrategy #Leadership

Every leader wants dashboards that deliver clarity and speed. But most dashboards don’t create clarity — they create confusion. Two executives, same dashboard → two different interpretations. The real problem isn’t what’s on the screen. It’s what’s behind it. Does your leadership team trust the dashboards they’re using? Let's talk about it → https://lnkd.in/g2yee9Wv

Dashboards are only useful if people actually use them. Too often, I see reports designed to impress rather than to inform. The result? Leadership ignores them. A good dashboard answers the right business questions in a clear, simple way. No extra noise. In my work, I focus on building reporting that’s less about decoration and more about decision-making.

👀 I once watched an analyst present a 40-slide deck filled with SQL joins, regression outputs, and charts that looked like they needed a PhD to decode. Everyone nodded politely. But by slide 12… half the room was on email. Then the VP quietly said: “Can someone just tell me — are we losing money or not?” 💥 That’s when it hit me. More detail doesn’t mean more credibility. It means more confusion. Since then, I decided to Keep it as simple as I can. One key insight. One chart that proves it. One action you recommend. 🎯 Clarity wins every time. #DataStorytelling #BusinessIntelligence #AnalyticsCommunication #Leadership

Dashboards: The CFO’s Radar, Not Wallpaper Day 45: A CFO once told me, “By the time I see the numbers, it’s already too late.” That’s the danger of spreadsheets. They explain the past. But they don’t predict the future. Dashboards change that. Done right, they are radars, not wallpaper. They show you—in one glance: ✔ Are we on track? ✔ Where are we slipping? ✔ What needs action now? The Six Sigma lens is clear: What gets seen gets acted upon. One move every CXO or frontline manager should make today: Add at least one leading indicator to your dashboard. Don’t just measure revenue (lagging). Track pipeline conversion or cycle time (leading). That shift turns leadership from reactive firefighting to proactive control. Because when performance is visible, surprises vanish. And leaders finally lead in real time. How are your dashboards built—explaining yesterday or predicting tomorrow? #Leadership #CFO #SixSigma #OperationalExcellence #ContinuousImprovement

As organizations grow more data-driven, the role of an analytics leader is shifting — from reporting what happened to guiding what should happen next. Modern analytics isn’t just about dashboards or KPIs. It’s about building a system of understanding, prediction, and action. What I’ve learned leading analytics teams: Business alignment is everything. Insight means nothing if it doesn’t tie to strategic goals. Empowerment over control. The best analytics cultures give teams freedom to explore, test, and question assumptions. Communication is the hidden skill. Translating data into clear, credible narratives is how you earn influence. Value beats volume. It’s not about collecting more data — it’s about collecting the right data. A strong analytics function doesn’t just measure performance — it shapes direction. It turns information into strategy, and strategy into measurable impact. 💡 My takeaway: True analytics leadership is about clarity, trust, and the courage to turn evidence into action. #Analytics #Leadership #DataStrategy #DecisionIntelligence #BusinessAnalytics #DigitalTransformation #TeamLeadership #DataDriven #Insights #FutureOfWork

❓❓ If you had to explain data analytics to a 10-year-old, how would you do it? ❓ ❓ It’s a simple question — but also a powerful test of how well we truly understand our work. Because if you can’t explain something simply, do you really understand it? Here’s how I’d put it: “I find patterns in numbers that help people make smarter decisions.” That’s it. No buzzwords. No jargon. Just clarity. In a world full of dashboards and metrics, the analysts who can translate complexity into understanding will always stand out. How would you explain what you do in the simplest way possible? Share your version below — let’s see who can describe analytics in one sentence. #DataAnalytics #DataStorytelling #Leadership #Communication #AnalyticsSkills #CareerGrowth #BusinessIntelligence
