So excited for this publication! Sports and Entertainment section showed up and showed out, publishing four articles that are extremely current and quickly developing in these industries! I am especially excited because I had the opportunity to work with a new associate to SCBC, Jacob Thompson, on The Unintended Fallout of California’s Hasty Response to AI in Entertainment, where we discuss the potential impacts of California's AB 2602 bill. Jacob's background in economics and my interest in (human) employment helped us explore this topic from different perspectives and, I believe, allowed us to paint a bigger picture with our analysis. If you are interested in reading our article (or any of the Sports & Entertainment articles), please find the links below: https://lnkd.in/er4sw6gb https://lnkd.in/eAHvrM5g

What can lawyers say in motions to withdraw? One recurring professional responsibility issue comes when a lawyer says too much in a motion to withdraw. While the requirements for withdrawing from a client’s representation may vary significantly, a lawyer’s withdrawal must be precisely executed to state only what’s necessary, preserve confidentiality, and ensure a smooth transition.
