Team Europe lands in Tokyo for ICC 2025 Tokyo, 11 November 2025 – Over the weekend, Team Europe arrived in Japan, ready to represent the continent at the International Cybersecurity Challenge (ICC) Tokyo 2025. The ICC is a global “Cybersecurity World Cup” that brings together top digital talents aged 26 and under from around the world. It has so far been hosted in Greece (Athens) (2022), the United States (San Diego) (2023), and Chile (Santiago) (2024). This year’s edition takes place from 12–14 November in Chiba, just east of Tokyo. Eight regional teams are competing in two main formats: a Jeopardy-style Capture-the-Flag (CTF) challenge on Day 1 (12 Nov.), followed by an Attack-and-Defence round on Day 2 (13 Nov.), where teams must both secure their own systems and probe those of their rivals. For Team Europe, the Welcome at Europa House ahead of ICC2025 was an opportunity to meet with EU Ambassador Jean-Eric Paquet, who inspired the players with words on digital resilience, teamwork and the shared European spirit of cooperation.
