Solo founders now scale like 10-person teams. A single operator with the right AI stack handles customer support, drafts content, ships features, runs ads, and closes deals — in parallel. Five years ago that workload required a team. Today it runs from a config file and a small constellation of agents. The leverage shift is the easy part. The strategy shift is harder, because most founders still hire for problems that AI quietly solved last year. The winning operators of 2026 are not bigger than they were. They're sharper about what only humans should still touch. If you started your company today with the AI stack you now have, what would the org chart look like? #FounderMode #AIAgents #ExecutiveLeadership

If AI handles the daily grunt work, what’s left for the team? We recently tested this on ourselves at HireIO. We shifted one of our cross-border marketing projects from a traditional execution model to an AI-augmented workflow. Here is what actually happened: AI didn't replace our team—it turned them into architects. While AI took care of the heavy lifting with high-volume content generation, our team finally had the breathing room to do what they do best: use their cultural intelligence to make sure the strategy actually makes sense across different global markets. Efficiency went up, sure. But the real win was seeing our people pivot from "just getting things done" to driving the actual strategy. If you're currently rebuilding your team's workflow around AI, what’s been your biggest roadblock so far? #FutureOfWork #GlobalGrowth #AILeadership #HireIO

AI agents have a memory problem. Most demos look impressive because everything happens in one session. But real enterprise work does not happen like that. A hiring workflow can take days. A finance approval can pause for a week. A vendor onboarding process can wait on 3 different teams. Google’s new ADK approach shows why long-running agents matter. The key idea is simple: Agents should be able to pause, wait for an external event, and resume without losing context. That sounds basic. But for enterprise AI, it is a big shift. Because the future of agents is not just “answer faster.” It is “complete real workflows reliably.” The best AI agents may not be the ones that talk the most. They may be the ones that can wait, remember, and continue at the right time. Would you trust an AI agent with a business process that runs for multiple days? Forbes just dropped their AI 50 list. Every operator I know is reading it backwards — eyes locked on valuations, not workflows. They’re hunting for the next platform to build. Wrong move. The real play? Pick one tool off that list. Plug it into your existing business. Erase a recurring process. Margin lives in subtraction — not addition. I’ve spent 30 years watching this: 95% chase shiny new stacks. 5% automate the boring stuff — and scale quietly while everyone else builds sandcastles. The decoy reason? “We need more tech.” The real reason? “We need fewer meetings.” Founders: what’s the one workflow you’d hand off to an agent tomorrow? Most small and mid-sized businesses are stuck between two bad options on AI. Option one: hire a full-time AI lead. But a senior person who genuinely knows this space costs comfortably into six figures — and most SMBs don't have enough AI work yet to justify a full-time seat. Option two: wing it. Let a vendor sell you a tool, hope it sticks, repeat. There's a third option, and it's the one most SMBs actually need: a fractional AI strategist. It's the same idea as a fractional CFO. You get senior-level expertise a few days a month, focused on the decisions that matter: → Where AI genuinely creates leverage in your business — and where it's just hype → What to build, what to buy, what to ignore → A roadmap your team can actually execute No full-time hire. No guesswork. Just a clear plan from people who've done the work. It's a core part of what we do at H-Town Labs. If you're a Houston founder or operator wondering where AI actually fits, let's talk. 👉 h-townlabs.io #FractionalLeadership #AIStrategy #ArtificialIntelligence #HoustonBusiness #SmallBusiness #AIConsulting

Building AI agents is fun. Building AI agents that: coordinate, remember, wait on dependencies, survive governance, recover from failures, respect permissions, maintain execution continuity, and still feel calm to users… …is where reality begins. Tonight’s issue? One Firestore permission mismatch turned: “AI-native operational coordination” into: “Workflow: undefined” 😂 The funniest part about building in public is realizing your product slowly stops behaving like software and starts behaving like an organization. Marketing waits on Ops. Ops waits on approvals. Approvals wait on visibility. Visibility waits on permissions. Permissions break the entire illusion of intelligence. And suddenly you’re not debugging prompts anymore. You’re debugging operational sociology. Still… there’s something weirdly exciting about watching Onyx evolve from: “AI assistant” into: “a system that actually coordinates work.” The vision remains the same: Bring your business problems in. Onyx handles the strategy and execution. Now we just make the execution layer resilient enough to survive reality. Back to Firestore rules I go. #BuildInPublic #StartupFounder #AI #SaaS #Operations #FounderJourney #B2B #ArtificialIntelligence #ProductDesign #FireStore #Vercel #CloudRun #EnterpriseSoftware #OnyxMercer

A founder asked me last month what the difference is between an AI project and an AI product. Honest answer? I had to think about it for a minute. Then I told him about Smile Data. When we first deployed it, the dental group’s ops team stopped doing 25 hours of manual reporting every month. That alone justified the build. But the part nobody anticipated came six months later. The team started catching billing gaps within the same week instead of at month-end. Their decisions got faster. Their conversations got sharper. The platform wasn’t replacing anyone; it was making the people already there harder to compete with. That’s the line I keep coming back to. The best AI tools don’t replace your team. They make your team impossible to compete with. A project ships once and gets forgotten. A product compounds. Every month it runs, your people get better at their jobs because of it. The business reorganizes around the insight it provides. Removing it would feel like removing a limb not because of lock-in, but because of adoption. I think that’s the real test for any AI investment. Six months from now, will it have made the people on your team measurably better at what they do? If the answer is no, you didn’t build a product. You bought an expensive demo. #AIEngineering #ByteBricks #BusinessIntelligence #DSO

The next big shift in small and mid-sized businesses will not be a new app or a new platform. It will be AI workflows running quietly inside the business. The clinic that auto-summarizes patient visits before the doctor reviews them. The agency that drafts client reports from raw data overnight. The shop that re-prices inventory every morning based on yesterday's signals. None of this is futuristic. It is buildable today. Most SMBs just do not know where to start. The first ones to figure it out will not double their revenue. They will run the same business with half the staff cost and twice the response speed. That is a bigger advantage than any feature their competitor can copy. The big enterprises will get there too. But SMBs do not have to wait. A small technical team can ship the first workflow in two weeks. If you run a small or mid-sized business — what is the one workflow in your company that eats the most time and adds the least judgment? That is where AI starts. #ai #aiworkflows #smb #founders #yogurtsoftware
