A new approach involves utilizing a hybrid index, commonly implemented in enterprises. This hybrid index combines vector-type dense and sparse embeddings. Currently, it's the sole method supporting dense and sparse searches on a single index. By specifying this parameter during creation, a hybrid index is generated incorporating both dense and sparse aspects. This allows for the simultaneous insertion of dense embeddings, sparse embeddings, and metadata.
