Using ARIA the right way is not that easy. That´s why you should check out this talk by Hidde de Vries. Reminder: no ARIA is better than bad ARIA. The first rule of ARIA use is "If you can use a native HTML element or attribute with the semantics and behavior you require already built in, instead of re-purposing an element and adding an ARIA role, state or property to make it accessible, then do so."

♿ Accessibility: Still a Rarity Only about 3% of websites are fully accessible. That’s millions left out—especially those using screen readers, keyboard navigation, or alternative input devices. Example: A blind user tried to buy tickets online but found unlabeled buttons. 🎟️ The event was lost to them. When companies prioritize web accessibility, they gain market share and goodwill. Takeaway: 🌎 Accessibility is not an extra; it’s foundational. Everyone benefits when more can access. #Accessibility #InclusiveDesign #DigitalEquity #UXMatters #WebAccessibility #DesignForAll

This time we're taking a look at mobile first. Did you know that, according to Statista, more than 60% of all web traffic comes from mobile devices? ☝ 📲 😵💫🏃♂️ 🚉 Yet mobile first isn’t just a visual design principle. It reshapes the entire user journey. It's about adapting to touch control, vertical screens, short attention spans and fast-paced content consumption in often distracting environments. 🙅♂️ So don’t be the designer who says: "We start with desktop and keep mobile in mind." That’s just an excuse for not having truly adapted to how people use the web today. Don’t Make Me Zoom Mobile isn’t desktop. Yet so many sites still treat it like a shrunken-down version. Tiny fonts. Cluttered layouts. Buttons you need surgeon-level precision to tap. Here’s the reality: users don’t zoom in… they zoom out. As in, they leave. I worked with a client whose checkout button was barely tappable on mobile. We redesigned it to be bigger, bolder, and easier to hit with a thumb. Nothing fancy, just usability. The result? Mobile conversions jumped almost overnight. Sometimes it’s not about adding more features. It’s about removing frustration. 💬 What’s the most annoying thing you’ve seen on a mobile site? #MobileUX #Ecommerce #CRO
