New York–based creative technology studio Hyz Studio is using Meshy AI to bring Dalí’s surreal garden to life at The Dalí Museum . By combining AI with a pipeline to generate 30 iconic surrealist models, the team has transformed Salvador Dalí’s lost 1930s dream into a cinematic, immersive space. Spending some inspirational days here at the great Virtual Production Gathering Conference in Breda, where one thing is clear: AI is (not surprisingly) also introducing a paradigm shift in Virtual Production. At the ViZARTS project and AAU CPH, we’ve spent the last few years researching and developing AI & Virtual Production (VP) workflows and educating 250+ media talents, Medialogy students and filmmakers with the support from Nordisk Film Fonden. During our series of workshops we’ve realized that Generative AI, VP and Final Pixels in Camera aren’t just high-end toys - they can also be the keys to a sustainable, democratized future for the European film and media industry. What if cities could dream? I wanted to reimagine Munich as a cinematic floating world — not just as it is, but as it could feel in a parallel reality. Using AI, I tried to create a cinematic scene where iconic landmarks like Marienplatz, Frauenkirche, Olympiapark, and Allianz Arena merge into a surreal, living island — surrounded by dynamic environments, motion, and storytelling energy. For me, this was about: • Exploring visual storytelling through AI • Blending realism with imagination • Creating cinematic depth, motion, and atmosphere • Moving beyond static images into more immersive worlds AI still isn’t perfect — it makes mistakes, sometimes in subtle details or structure. But those imperfections are becoming negligible compared to the creative possibilities it unlocks. AI is no longer just a tool.
