AI could erase most jobs in the next 10‑20 years – and the people building the tech should sound the alarm. 🚨 A recent panel at the World Internet Conference, reported by Reuters, featured DeepSeek researcher Chen Deli warning that the “honeymoon phase” of AI‑assisted productivity will soon give way to massive workforce disruption. Key takeaways: • **Rapid job displacement:** Within a decade, AI systems will be capable enough to replace many roles that today seem secure. • **Tech firms as guardians:** Companies must act as whistle‑blowers, protecting human safety and helping reshape societal structures before the shock hits. • **Short‑term boost, long‑term risk:** The current productivity surge is real, but it’s a stepping stone to a period where AI can operate independently. What does this mean for us? I see three immediate actions: 1️⃣ **Upskill for AI‑augmented work:** Focus on creativity, empathy, and complex problem‑solving – skills machines still struggle with. 2️⃣ **Advocate for responsible AI policies:** Encourage firms to publish impact assessments and commit to workforce transition plans. 3️⃣ **Invest in lifelong learning platforms:** Companies that fund continuous education will not only protect their talent pool but also stay competitive. The race between the U.S. and China is accelerating, with open‑source models like DeepSeek’s R1 narrowing the gap. If we ignore the warning, the very tools that boost our efficiency could become the catalyst for a societal crisis. Let’s start the conversation: How is your organization preparing for the AI‑driven shift? #FutureOfWork #AIethics #TechResponsibility #Upskilling #AILeadership

The AI Jobs 'Bomb': Stop Fearing Replacement, Start Seizing the Exponential Skill Opportunity! Stop worrying about AI taking your job. The era of no jobs is over. Work has evolved, creating far more opportunities than many realize. AI is creating more jobs than eliminating them. We are witnessing a "bomb of jobs," with global analysis forecasting up to 192 million new jobs by the end of this decade. AI-related job offers are expected to triple (up to 300%). The Critical Challenge: Skill Scarcity The overwhelming issue is a scarcity of skills, not a scarcity of work. Three-quarters of large firms report a serious lack of AI talent, despite believing AI is crucial for their long-term success, innovation, and survival. AI is changing the kind of work we do. Think of AI as a "mental exoskeleton" that leverages human judgment and guidance with the speed of the machine. This is why companies are planning to train their people with AI skills instead of replacing them. The job map is expanding rapidly, demanding experts in roles like Data Scientist (often called the "sexiest job of the 21st century") and Prompt Engineer. Your Action Plan: Become 'On Demand' To fill this skills gap, you don't need a PhD or a traditional degree. The practical path is self-learning, microlearning, and building a solid portfolio. Lifelong learning is the muscle needed for securing and keeping your job. Stop looking for what is on demand, and focus on becoming on demand yourself. My advice remains the same rule my father shared: Just learn the tools. If you are using AI tools today, make the move to start developing those tools tomorrow. I want to extend my deepest gratitude to Ms Rafa Islam Diba and the dedicated team of TEDxAsia Pacific U for their efforts, teamwork, and making everything run smoothly and successfully. It was an immense honour to share this vital message on their prestigious platform. #AIJobs #FutureOfWork #SkillsGap #Upskilling #ArtificialIntelligence #CareerGrowth #Tedxapu

💡 AI and the Two Horizons of Change In the short term, the rise of AI will be disruptive, and we’re already seeing the first signs. Entire job categories are being redefined, while others are disappearing faster than education systems can adapt. Productivity gains are not evenly shared; they concentrate in the hands of those who already have capital, data, and access to technology. The result is a widening divide between those who can harness AI and those who are left behind. This transition will be harsh. People will lose not just jobs but also a sense of identity and purpose tied to their work. Inequality will deepen before it improves, and institutions will struggle to keep pace with the speed of change. But in the longer term, the story shifts. As societies learn to integrate AI into daily life — into how we work, study, and think — we will rebuild around it. Education will evolve to focus on what humans do best: creativity, reasoning, empathy, and judgment. New professions will emerge that we can’t yet imagine, and AI will become an invisible layer that amplifies, rather than replaces, human potential. The path ahead won’t be smooth, but if we manage the transition wisely, the outcome could be extraordinary: a world that is not only more productive, but also more capable, inclusive, and human. If we don’t extinguish ourselves before that, of course. What do you think? Are we heading toward a temporary crisis or a permanent transformation? #ArtificialIntelligence #FutureOfWork #Innovation #Technology #Productivity #Inequality #MachineLearning #AIethics #Future

The Workforce Is Getting an Upgrade (and Degrees Won’t Be Enough) The next generation is growing up with AI like millennials did with the internet. They won’t learn AI — they’ll live it. To them, walking into a workplace without AI will feel like showing up to work today without Wi-Fi. Here’s what will define the next-gen workforce: 1️⃣ AI fluency over credentials. The winners will be those who continuously learn, adapt, and build alongside intelligent systems — not those who stopped learning after graduation. 2️⃣ Education reform or extinction. Schools that ignore AI literacy are preparing students for jobs that won’t exist. 3️⃣ The rise of intelligent workspaces. AI browsers are just the start. Imagine internal, company-specific browsers that navigate policies, HR info, and knowledge bases seamlessly. 4️⃣ Adaptability becomes the new currency. The future labour market will reward humans who can co-create with machines, not compete against them. The next generation won’t just use AI — they’ll expect it. Are we ready to meet them there? The race to adopt AI is powerful, but dangerous if not managed equitably. When AI training and upskilling opportunities are offered only to select technical teams or high-potential employees, organisations risk creating an Inclusion Gap. This doesn't just widen existing disparities; it actively prevents companies from benefiting from the diverse thinking, unique problem-solving, and varied human perspectives essential for ethical and effective AI integration. {O’Brien, K., & Downie, A. (n.d.). AI upskilling. https://lnkd.in/dbvt6Kdi The hard truth: The AI Edge must be accessible to everyone—from marketing to HR, operations to finance—to drive genuine #DiversityGrowth. Prioritising equitable training is not a cost; it's an investment in collective competitive advantage. At Shenzyn, we are building the solution. Our AI + EI platform ensures learning and career pathways are personalised and accessible to all talent, making the future of work equitable by design. #InclusionGap #DEI #AIforAll #Upskilling #WorkplaceEquity #Shenzyn #CareerBuilding

Will your job be replaced by AI and automation? As much as the prospect of AI and automation may lead to improved efficiency and reduced operating costs, there is growing concert its implementation could spell the end for human jobs. While academics and institutions predict which roles will be replaced, the human element of consumer behaviour is invariably overlooked. People are already refusing self checkouts, boycotting stores that don't offer human contact and a new market for old fashioned, human centric business is emerging. Similar to the shift from shopping on price only, largely from transnational corporate entities to supporting smaller, locally owned businesses, ethical consumerism is the key concept the academics fail to understand. While there is no doubt advances in technology will lead to the replacement of at least some elements of some roles, consumers will ultimately decide the need for a human workforce. Also rarely discussed are the new opportunities for human roles that will be created to implement and AI and automated systems. #ai #automation #workflow #management #customerservice #user #experience #sustainable #business #community #network #newzealand #learning #systems #process #futureofwork #resistance #rejection #consumer #power #sustainability #nz

Thriving in the Age of AI: Redefining Career Growth Over the weekend, I had the privilege of joining my (National Institute of Technology Warangal) alma mater’s NITW America’s Alumni Meet for a panel to discuss on “Thriving in the Age of AI.” The room was electric and the energy was palpable — filled with engineers, data scientists, founders, and technology leaders, all reflecting on how AI is transforming not just our industries, but our individual paths. The discussion centered on a key insight — AI isn’t replacing human intelligence — it’s amplifying it. The real transformation lies not in machines overtaking people, but in how humans and AI together are expanding the boundaries of what’s possible across careers, organizations, and industries.” During our panel, one theme kept surfacing: while AI amplifies efficiency, the human edge still matters most. It’s humans who will continue to define meaning, strategy, and impact. Empathy, ethics, and creative problem-solving will be the skills that define sustainable success. Across every field — from technology to healthcare, semiconductors to e-commerce — AI is becoming the invisible engine driving transformation. It’s not just automating tasks; it’s accelerating discovery, creativity, and decision-making. But this also means the definition of skill, leadership, and innovation is changing rapidly. In this new era, thriving means: Adapting faster than technology evolves Learning continuously and applying insights creatively Collaborating across disciplines — humans, data, and machines Leading with curiosity, empathy, and foresight The future of work will belong to those who combine technical depth with human breadth — the ability to connect data with judgment, algorithms with ethics, and automation with imagination. For professionals, this is a time to reimagine growth: Lean into AI literacy — understand its capabilities and limitations. Build hybrid skills that bridge technology, design, and business. Embrace lifelong learning as a mindset, not a checklist. Seek opportunities where AI enhances your impact, not replaces it. As we discussed at the panel, AI isn’t the destination — it’s the accelerator. The question is not whether AI will transform your work, but how you will transform yourself to thrive alongside it. Let’s shape a future where technology amplifies our humanity, not replaces it. 🚀 #AI #CareerGrowth #FutureOfWork #Leadership #Innovation #NITW #ArtificialIntelligence

What if the skills that will define your career in the next decade are not the ones you’re focusing on today? Recent breakthroughs in AI made me reflect on how the skills highlighted in the Future of Jobs Report 2025 (https://lnkd.in/d_6ZUgYY) by the World Economic Forum might evolve as intelligent systems become even more woven into every profession. 1️⃣ Analytical thinking and innovation. As AI handles routine analysis, humans must interpret, question, and apply insights ethically. Analytical thinkers transform machine data into strategic, creative action. 2️⃣ AI literacy and automation teaming. Working with AI is the new productivity frontier. Those who can prompt, validate, and integrate AI outputs will amplify results—those who can’t risk falling behind. 3️⃣ Problem solving and creativity. AI can generate options, but not judgment. The ability to frame problems, connect ideas, and innovate beyond algorithms will define human differentiation. 4️⃣ Tech–human skill blend. Tomorrow’s professionals combine digital fluency with empathy and adaptability. The best outcomes emerge when technology augments—not replaces—human collaboration. 5️⃣ Leadership and social influence. In an AI-shaped world, leadership shifts from authority to authenticity. Inspiring trust, guiding change, and fostering inclusion become key to leading both humans and machines. #FutureOfWork #AI #Leadership #Innovation #Reskilling #Skills
