For some, 2️⃣0️⃣ years is an eternity...for others, it's a blink of an eye. They say time heals all wounds, yet we know in our business that it doesn't. Whether you were home with your family as they 🚔 answered the call...or stood on the edge of an open drawbridge 🕵️♂️for hours trying to process the scene...or dove 🤿 into those brutal, murky waters searching day in and day out...one thing is absolutely certain after all this time...we lost two INCREDIBLE selfless men that night, in a incident that will simply never make any sense. 😔 This year marks the 20 YEARS since we lost Officers Shawn Carson and Robert Nguyen. 🙏 May they continue to rest in peace. 🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹 For those who have asked, there will be a short procession and brief memorial at the bridge on Christmas evening, 12/25 at 8PM. It’s a gut punch every time I think of them. I had just seen them both the week before. I worked for another agency but used to see Shawn at security details. Florio was one I remember. Rest in God’s love and light, brothers. You’re both missed. Rest in eternal peace, Jane. She never got over it. 🕊️🙏✝️🙏🕊️
