Freelancers are quietly becoming currency strategists. In his new Finextra piece, Eddie Harrison explains how Stablecoin payouts give independent workers instant access to earnings, control over FX timing, and fewer cross‑border frictions — turning timing into an advantage, not a tax. Key takeaways: > Instant settlement and lower fees put more money in workers’ hands In volatile markets, holding and timing off‑ramps can preserve purchasing power >With clearer rules (e.g., MiCA) and ready rails, adoption is moving from pilots to production Read more: https://lnkd.in/eFeq54ZY #Stablecoins #CrossBorderPayments #Fintech #FreelanceEconomy #GlobalPayroll

Stablecoins aren’t a future concept for independent professionals, they’re infrastructure. At Ruul, we work with 120k freelancers, and nearly one-third of our payments now settle in stablecoins, proving that speed, cost efficiency, and programmability aren’t theoretical benefits. In this article, Eran Karaso, Chief Operating Officer at Ruul, breaks down what freelancers have already proven, and what GBTD needs to get right to succeed. Read more 👉 https://lnkd.in/dW58_P45

Not too long ago, receiving international payments felt unnecessarily complicated. ~ Multiple follow-ups. ~ Unclear FX rates. ~ Hidden markups. And waiting days just to see the money land. Talking to founders, freelancers, and global businesses, one thing became clear they don’t want complexity, they want clarity and speed. That’s exactly the problem we’re focused on solving at Infinity(YC W24). ~ Receive international payments with 0% FX markup ~ Free FIRA, without the paperwork headache ~ INR credited within 24 hours ~ Real-time, live FX rates — no surprises What excites me most isn’t just the product features, but the impact helping businesses focus on growth instead of worrying about how their money moves across borders. Global payments shouldn’t slow you down. They should quietly work in the background, fast, transparent, and reliable. This is just the beginning, and we’re building with a simple belief: cross-border payments should feel local. #GlobalPayments #InternationalPayments #Infinity

Work went global. Money did not. We are fixing that. Today, Kenn from TechCabal published a feature that captures what we’ve been building at Payd HQ for the last two years: A financial operating system for the millions of people whose work lives online, across borders, and outside traditional structures. Most fintech stories end at “faster” or “cheaper” payments. Ours starts with a harder question: What does the world look like when freelancers and remote talent don’t have to fight their financial infrastructure? At Payd, we’ve been obsessed with a few core ideas; 1. The future of work runs on unstructured income and spend Freelancers, creators, remote teams - their income and spend isn’t monthly, predictable, or neatly categorized. 2. Payments are global, spend is local You can get paid from the US or Europe in seconds, but still need to pay rent, school fees, electricity, or buy groceries using local rails. 3. Stablecoins are the new settlement layer 60% of our volume now settles onchain, not because users asked for crypto but because they asked for speed, reliability, and reach. Stablecoins just happen to be the best infrastructure for that. 4. Distribution matters as much as infrastructure We grow by embedding ourselves into the communities, agencies, platforms, and networks that power the gig economy. These ideas define our focus at Payd. The work continues. We are just getting started. https://lnkd.in/dqBvZZ-F

I came back from holiday and did something unusual. I made coffee first. Then I opened my bank app. Nothing had broken. Payments made sense. FX moved—but within the guardrails. The system worked without me. New Medium post: The System That Worked While I Was Away (and What I Tightened After) → [https://lnkd.in/gcfhiPza] A few quiet lessons from being offline: Quote validity windows protect you while you rest Invoices should explain themselves (page one matters) Reconciliation isn’t control—it’s permission to step away If your business needs you constantly online, it’s not a business yet I’m learning that good systems don’t squeeze more money out of work. They create space—for clarity, rest, and better decisions. If you’re freelancing across borders, this one might resonate. #Freelancing #WorkLifeBalance #Pricing #CashFlow #FX #Consulting #Boundaries #IndependentWork
