𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴. But showcasing them the right way, that’s what makes recruiters notice you. Here are 3 ways to make your portfolio stand out 👇 𝟭️.𝗗𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗜 / 𝗧𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘂) Don’t just share a screenshot. 1. Tell the story behind your dashboard: 2. What problem were you solving? 3. What insights did you uncover? 4. What decisions could a business take from it? That narrative shows you understand business thinking, not just visuals. 𝟮️.𝗚𝗶𝘁𝗛𝘂𝗯 + 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗠𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗲 (𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗤𝗟 & 𝗣𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻) 1. Upload your code on GitHub, but don’t stop there. 2. Add a ReadMe file explaining: 3. Dataset used 4. Query objectives 5. Challenges faced 6. Results or patterns found Recruiters love clarity — it shows you can communicate your thought process. 𝟯️.𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗼 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗗𝗙 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗲 𝗔𝗱𝗱-𝗼𝗻 Create a simple Notion / Google Site / PDF page linking all your projects in one place. Use a clean layout: 1. Project title 2. Tools used 3. 1-line business impact 4. Link to dashboard/code 5. That’s your digital proof of skills. Remember — it’s not about showing you did a project. It’s about showing you understood the data. ✨ In our customized mentorship, we help students not just build, but present their projects like professionals. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗼. Every job posting is a cheat sheet — if you know how to read it. Here’s how to build your 𝗞𝗲𝘆𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗸 that matches hiring rubrics: 1️⃣ 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 10 job postings for your target role. 2️⃣ 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁 action verbs, outcomes, and tools (analyze, optimize, SQL, Tableau…). 3️⃣ 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 how often each appears — the real priorities rise fast. 4️⃣ 𝗧𝗶𝘁𝗹𝗲 your portfolio bullets with those same words. Example: instead of “Built dashboard,” write “𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗤𝗟 + 𝗧𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘂.” This is how your portfolio speaks the same language recruiters scan for. Your data is only as good as your attention to detail. Clean data saves time and prevents future errors; that’s why I handle every entry with precision and structure. Here are 3 quick ways to keep your data clean and accurate: Double-check formatting — consistency helps with sorting and analysis. Use data validation in Excel or Google Sheets to control input. Avoid mixing text and numbers in the same column; it breaks formulas every time. What’s your favourite spreadsheet tip or shortcut that saves you time? I’d love to hear it. Too much time is spent copying, pasting, chasing, checking. When the most skilled people in the room are doing data entry, something’s gone wrong. Removing repetition isn’t about speed, it’s about value and giving creative teams more time to focus on the work that actually moves things forward. #workflowautomation #musicproductivity #adminrelief #musicindustry

100,000 rows. 1 weekend. 0 insights. I didn’t get the results I wanted, but I got the skills I needed. The plan was simple: analyze the Eligible Sponsored Companies dataset in the UK. I wanted to see which industries and cities sponsor the most Skilled Worker visas. Spot trends, maybe build a nice dashboard, share some insights. Easy, right? Well… until I spent the entire day cleaning over 100,000 rows, matching company names with SIC codes, removing duplicates, and standardizing all those daunting addresses. When I finally looked at the results, I was ready for something big. But guess what? Most of the companies were small businesses takeaways, barbers, mini consultancies not the big tech or finance giants I was hoping to study. At first, I felt disappointed. It felt like a wasted day. But then it clicked. Not every project needs to be published. Not every analysis needs to end with insights. Some projects exist just to teach you how to figure things out. And this one taught me a lot: → Cleaning and preparing messy real-world data → Making API calls to fetch live info → Automating repetitive cleaning steps I didn’t get the insights I wanted, but I got something better: experience. Because the process is the point. ✨ Have you ever worked on something that didn’t go as planned but taught you way more than you expected? 👇 PS: If you want to discuss the technical side of the project, my DMs are open.

Unpopular opinion: most grant databases drain productivity. I know that challenges the norm. After decades in funding strategy, the pattern repeats. Teams burn hours browsing lists that: • Do not match goals or mission • Hide impossible eligibility in the small print • Demand more resource than they return • Pull attention away from relationship building What works better: • Deep research into a short list of aligned funders • Direct contact with programme officers who get your work • Timing that mirrors funder cycles and priorities • Fewer, higher quality applications to perfect-fit calls Clients who switch from browsing to focused research report sharper targeting, calmer teams, and stronger results. One leader stopped using databases entirely, built relationships with a small set of aligned funders, and now runs a visible pipeline without the scroll. Do you see databases as strategic tools, or time-wasters? Where do they help, where do they harm? P.S. Want to test your own approach? Why I value clear communication in every project I do 👇 No matter if it’s data entry, research, or virtual assistance — the foundation is always the same: ✅ Be precise ✅ Keep deadlines ✅ Communicate clearly I’ve seen how many projects fail not because of skills, but because of unclear expectations. That’s why I make sure every client always knows the progress, next step, and delivery time. Because professional work isn’t only about what you deliver, but also how you deliver it. #VirtualAssistant #DataEntry #WebResearch #ProfessionalGrowth
