We are excited to have secured a strategic investment from Hong Kong Investment Corporation Limited (HKIC) and held a kick-off ceremony today. The signing was represented by Ms Clara Chan (CEO, the HKIC) and Mr Simon Loong (Founder and Group CEO, WeLab), witnessed by Mr. Paul Chan (Financial Secretary, HKSAR Government) and Ms. Ranida Chamchalerm (Deputy Consul-General of Thailand in Hong Kong), and over 300 attendees. Following the ceremony, two heavy weight panels themed “Pioneering AI-Finance – Powering Asia’s Digital Future” took place with rapturous applause. HKIC’s investment into Hong Kong’s largest fintech company is recognition of WeLab’s proven track record over the last 13 years, yet the most exciting part is the future plans which can be reinforced by HKIC’s partnership.
