Helping the fictional e-commerce platform “Bagel 2.0” 🥯 either nail its risk assessment obligation or scale its content moderation tooling. 🏆 The results? Incredible teamwork, bold ideas, and fresh solutions to keep online spaces safer for everyone. I am honored to receive today the "Little Soldier" award from Huawei Future Star. Success is the only way forward, with no way back 🏆🎖️🪖🚀 This prize is a tribute to a 16-year-old Chinese soldier who, when interviewed in the midst of a challenging war, displayed remarkable confidence and resilience. He essentially stated, "Success is the only way forward, with no way back." Reflecting on my experiences working with multicultural professionals, I have observed a notable characteristic in the chinese approach to work. On average, chinese professionals tend to focus singularly on one direction—whether you call it accomplishment, success, or financial gain, they ensure that the task gets done. This is an invaluable lesson for any employee: to be results-centered rather than process-centered. For tasks that are complex, adopting an agile methodology is crucial. Breaking down the complexity into smaller, manageable tasks ensures early results, which in turn motivates not only yourself but also your team and your customers.
