Ghostwriting: what is it, and do you need one? Publishing agencies and authors are turning to ghostwriters to get their books out faster to appease readers, and keep their fan base in tact. This might be a hot take, but if you have a plot, a chapter by chapter outline, and your characters in mind already, then you may as well write the book yourself. As an agency, if the author you signed on isn't able to deliver in a specific time frame for various reasons, they might opt to use a ghostwriter. This is when an agency or agent will reach out to a ghostwriter, pitch the story and see if they're a fit. With ghostwriting, the one piece of advice I would give you is taking on a project, no matter how exciting it is or how good the payout is, always make sure YOU are happy working on the project. If you're not, it shows in your writing. On that note, I'd like to add that if you usually write in say the dark romance genre, and you pick up a ghostwriting client that wants a contemporary, small town romance, it might not be the one for you. However, ghostwriters are versatile and usually skilled in multiple genres so this will not be the case for everyone. At the end of the day, you have to trust your instincts, and work on the projects that you know you can deliver your best work on. I hope you enjoyed this one, and follow along for more writing tips, advice and updates as a freelance writer. The next post is going to be about how to go from an idea to a completed story. #freelancewriting #ghostwriting #fictionwriting

What writers often refuse to believe is that REJECTION is part of the writing process. You might think that this poem is perfect for this magazine, or this story is a fit for a certain publication.... but then, you get rejected. Writing is an art, and art has different interpretation. What really matters is that you keep believing in your art, your poem, your story. Sooner or later, someone will welcome your art, and you would be the luckiest writer in the world. Keep believing in yourself. #writing #submissions #writer #freelance

My friend told me she wants to write but can't find the motivation. I asked if she's thought about joining a writing group. "I don't think I write enough for that," she confessed. Of course I told her, that is the *whole* point of a writer's group. Community holds us accountable, gives us goals and reminds us that we are writers - especially when we don't feel like one. #writing #writingcommunity #freelancewriter

A lot of people hear the word "ghostwriter" and think it's only for celebrities writing books. It's not. Ghostwriting simply means: someone writes for you, in your voice, under your name. The writer stays invisible, while you get the credit. And the content sounds like you because it's built from your ideas. Here's why more people are turning to ghostwriters for social media: Your ideas are valuable. Your time is not unlimited. Writing takes longer than most people expect, especially when you want it to sound good, feel authentic, and actually connect with people. So instead of spending two hours staring at a blank screen, a ghostwriter takes your 10-minute voice note or brain dump and turns it into a post that's ready to go. You stay visible. You keep your voice. You don't burn out trying to do everything. That's ghostwriting. And it works. If this is something you've been wondering about for yourself, feel free to send me a message. Happy to talk. #ghostwriter #theenlightenedwriter

Yes personal branding is very important for a writer. As a writer, your work is not just about what you write, but also about who people believe you are as a writer. Personal branding helps people recognize, trust, and remember you. Readers, clients, or publishers are more likely to engage with a writer who has a clear identity and consistent message. Your brand signals your style, tone, and expertise.
