Yesterday marked my final day at Google, closing an incredible five-year chapter with the Spanner team. It's truly bittersweet to say goodbye. My journey with databases has always been a passion, evolving through roles like my time at Commvault, and reaching new heights at Google where I had the privilege to dive deep into distributed systems with Spanner. I'm genuinely blown away by the technology, but what truly stands out are the brilliant, kind, and inspiring people I've learned so much from. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Google and the Spanner team for the invaluable learning, the incredible opportunities, and the unforgettable memories. I'll be cheering for Spanner's continued success! On Monday, a new adventure begins for me, and I'm absolutely thrilled about it!
