I’m so excited to officially announce my new role as Co-Founder of 1Yes🙂. Less than two years ago, I started a small business with one simple belief: One “yes” can change someone’s life. Since then, I’ve worked directly with 800+ professionals on their resumes, LinkedIn profiles, career transitions, workplace challenges, and job searches. I’ve watched clients go from discouraged and burned out to landing amazing roles, negotiating stronger offers, and rebuilding their confidence. That’s why my husband and I created 1Yes, to make high-quality career coaching more accessible, affordable, and available whenever people need it. Whether you’re: 💡 Updating your resume 💡 Preparing for an interview 💡 Preparing for a promotion 💡 Optimizing your LinkedIn profile 💡 Navigating challenges at work 1Yes can help. When you can clearly communicate your strengths, experiences, and impact, everything else becomes easier. To everyone who has trusted me to be part of your journey: thank you. And to those figuring out what comes next: Your one “yes” may be closer than you think. Try 1Yes today — link in the comments. 🩷
Congrats 🥰
Congratulations!
Happy for you and wishing you the best. I will add my story to give you some encouragement. After experiencing 2-3 years of decline in resume writing clients, I joined a career coaching company 6 months ago. Not as a career coach, but as a resume writer. It was the only way I could secure a steady stream of clients. I had noticed through Upwork that the only companies still hiring resume writers are career coaching companies, telling me that they are experiencing some growth. The company I work for (a startup, like you) is experiencing rapid growth after overcoming some teething problems. In other words, if you have a great product, you will succeed. Career coaching is a recession-proof industry (much like resume writing was pre-AI), and you certainly have the marketing skills to promote it. Best of luck!
I've seen firsthand how often careers change because of one conversation, one opportunity, or one person willing to say "yes" when others wouldn't. Sometimes the biggest breakthrough isn't a new skill, it's having someone help you see the value you already bring. A lot of people think career growth is about finding the perfect resume template or interview answer. In reality, it's about understanding your strengths, communicating them effectively, and having the confidence to take the next step. Looking forward to hearing more about the impact 1Yes creates. Congratulations on the new venture.
Melissa Grabiner I commented on your "one yes" post earlier this week. And now here you are, co-founding a whole company built on that exact belief. As a care worker in Lagos preparing for NHS interviews and actively working on my LinkedIn presence, this is exactly the kind of resource I have been looking for. Congratulations. The mission is as important as the business. 👏
Congratulations
Melissa Grabiner 1Yes to an individual can make a very big impact and change the person future for the better Well done and congratulations ma'am for this beautiful initiative
Congrats on making it official. The best companies start from solving a problem you've already been solving.
your one yes may be closer than you think.. TRUEEE Melissa Grabiner
I really like the psychology behind this branding, Melissa. 💯The bold “1” immediately feels strong and decisive, while the flowing “Yes” brings in humanity and hope. That contrast works because career growth usually lives between structure and encouragement. #ShareTruth What also stands out to me is the deeper message behind it. Sometimes people only need one opportunity, one advocate, one conversation, or one person willing to say “yes” before momentum finally shifts. As I like to say “Opportunity may open the door… but preparation determines what happens after you walk through it.”
