I work as a payment manager at Norwegian Air Shuttle and last year we had 26,000,000 passengers. When MasterCard approached us, we clicked the pay. It was the perfect solution for us at the right time. Over the last two years, we have seen a lot of alternative forms of payments and wallets being launched in the markets. But they all require us to redirect the customer to their website to complete the payment and we lose control of our customer in that critical point of time. In the booking flow, we see we have to simplify card payments and we have been looking for a solution to solve that where we remain in control of the entire payment flow. MasterCard involved us at an early stage where we could work with them to ensure we got the right solution for us after we launched Click to Pay. We have seen not 3% improvement in our authorization approval rates compared to regular card payments. We have also seen a drop in decline related to suspected fraud in some of our markets. 30% of our customers choose to use Click to pay when they pay with card for their flights. When the payment is processed tokenized through Click to Pay, we see that the issuing banks are less likely to challenge the customer to authenticate themselves. We expect Click to Pay to be the preferred way to pay securely online in one click, and we encourage all other merchants to join us in creating this as simplified card experience for all customers.
