Markus Oberlehner on contract testing for microservices

This title was summarized by AI from the post below.

Probably my favorite talk today at Frontend Nation 2025 was by Markus Oberlehner. His discussion focused on transitioning from end-to-end testing to contract testing to improve test reliability. In short, he talked about how contract testing provides a more reliable and adaptable approach compared to E2E testing in microservices environments. By leveraging tools like Specmatic and maintaining clear API contracts, you can ensure robust and independent deployments, minimizing the risk of production failures. If you wanna know more about this, or any of the other topics discussed, I highly recommend you go and watch the talks which are still available on the Frontend Nation 2025 page. https://lnkd.in/eUhsY7es

Yes contract tests are awesome I don't see a benefit anymore in end2end tests especially one huge team It takes so much effort to set it up. I can also recommend https://www.manning.com/books/contract-testing-in-action

Thank you Marco! Always a pleasure to hear when a talk resonates with someone!
