Thanks for sharing Marc Fleischmann, fantastic collection. It reminds me of the many good events on this topic in Germany in the 90s, especially in Kaiserslautern and Karlsruhe. Please don't shoot me. I'd like to point out a paradox from my perspective. First, we have many good and dedicated open-source developers in Europe. Nevertheless, the main OSS developments take place in America and Asia. On the other hand, Europe holds the key to its future in OSS.
