The "SaaSpocalypse" has dominated software markets discussion since early February. We wanted to share what we are actually seeing in the deal market, which tells a more nuanced story. Our Key Takeaways: • The net of what we are seeing is a slight slowdown, but not nearly as severe as the headlines suggest. Platform M&A is slowing and the multiples buyers are offering are compressing, but add-on M&A remains robust in both deal flow and valuations. • We are finding that companies that can articulate and demonstrate a credible AI story and resilience to substitution risk will command meaningfully better outcomes. • We remain cautiously optimistic as recurring revenue, high gross margins, and predictable cash flows have not evaporated. The bar buyers set is higher, but the opportunity for well-positioned businesses is still substantial. Congress has to disclose every stock trade they make within 45 days. I pulled all 535 members' full year 2025 data into one report. Here's what I found: 🚨 I just built a full Congressional Trading Report using nothing but public data with Connexx + Claude. Here's what the STOCK Act filings revealed for 2025: 📊 Nancy Pelosi: 19 trades. $51.7M. +38% return. That's an average of $2.7M per single trade. 🟢 Rep. Terri Sewell: +67.9% — bought NVDA in April 2025 🟢 Rep. Donald Norcross: +71% — best return in all of Congress 🔴 Rep. Chip Roy: -59% — worst return in all of Congress ⚡ Sen. Cleo Fields: bought NVDA *before* Trump lifted the chip export ban And both parties? Both were loading up on AI stocks. NVDA was net bought $7M more than sold across ALL 535 members. Swipe through the full report. ↓ --- Here's how I built this: I watched a demo of a paid app called Autopilot that automates financial trading research using public data sources. It made me realize Connexx already does this, and at a whole different scale. Connexx gives Claude direct access to 1,250+ authoritative data servers: congressional trading disclosures, SEC filings, government databases, financial records, research literature — all of it. No scraping. No data engineers. Just Connexx + Claude, and a single 5 minute session later this report existed. --- 📥 Do you have a project or a business that needs access to public data? Just use Connexx + Claude and you too can build a report like this. → connexx.ai --- For informational purposes only. Not investment advice. All data sourced from mandatory STOCK Act PTR disclosures. #StockAct #PublicData #Connexx #AI #Investing
