In a leadership position, where your actions and attitude greatly impact the team, managing diverse groups of people requires patience, understanding, and adaptability. I've learned that you can’t simply compel people to get the work done; instead, fostering a positive mindset and supportive environment is essential. By keeping morale high and ensuring team members feel valued and motivated, you empower them to contribute their best, driving sustained growth and success for the organization. ✨The Transformative Power of Leadership in Nurturing Human Resources https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7260945357730156544/ Thank you, LinkedIn, for this excellent opportunity 🙏
Early in my career, I hesitated to ask questions, afraid they'd sound silly. But I quickly learned that not asking and making assumptions can lead to even bigger issues. Asking questions may seem basic, but it's essential for growth in our careers. What are your thoughts on this? #OneThingToKnow https://www.linkedin.com/posts/priyanka-tiwari-357156157_onethingtoknow-activity-7259201146311852033-vVf1?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_ios
My post of for the unsuspecting. Bidding and preparing bids for new business is a pressure vessel of activity, usually conducted with disparate teams thrown together and not enough time. No one ever tells you about all the difficulties and challenges of building a winning bid and looking professional and in control. The reality is shown in this post, where I was brought in late to lead and advice on a critical bid. See what you think. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/robdustan_onethingtoknow-bidwindeliver-onethingtoknow-activity-7259192986717106176-Z_tF?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop
#onethingtoknow about Safety Professionals, generally speaking, is that we don't know everything about every policy, regulation, or industry. I often would be asked about a datapoint spelled out in a regulation on a subject when I first got into the field of safety, and I had to make sure that I captured the information requested in a way that I could best respond both immediately and then later on with a follow-up to validate. Sometimes having the feet to the fire and saying "I don't have that answer, but I will get back to you" is a totally appropriate response. Like news reporters wanting to put out a great story before someone else does, sometimes taking the time to gather more data to ensure a factual response makes the better outcome for both the short and long term. #assp #safetyprofessionals #workplacesafety
When challenges arise, focus on the issue rather than the personality involved and address it promptly. Like a boat moving through water, every interaction leaves a wake behind – make it one that preserves and enhances our character. While it might feel daunting to tackle a challenging situation head-on, delaying usually worsens things, and the reality is often less difficult than we imagine. By focusing on specific actions and their impacts rather than personal attributes, we create space for real solutions while maintaining professional relationships. Addressing the core issue early and directly while separating emotions from facts allows us to navigate workplace challenges with both effectiveness and grace. #OneThingToKnow
Regularly ask your leader and team members for feedback. This has helped tremendously with understanding new insights and the way people work. Always be open to feedback and understand where people are coming from. #Onethingtoknow
When client wants a design that contradicts their brand values. How do we navigate this creative challenge? https://www.linkedin.com/posts/kp08_branding-clientsatisfaction-designideas-activity-7259167861493964800-xfvT?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop
"Turn your chair". Do the work (though it may be hard) how is my view or perception of the situation influencing the outcome? When I act as I have, come to the table with the same attitude I have; what does that look like to the other person? Can I understand how my behaviors can be frustrating? Counterproductive? Can I understand why they act as they have because of a distorted perspective of myself and the situation? It's a vicious cycle. If you cannot face the person, problem, or team with honesty and true intent of your part in collision, take your "Be the change you want to see" poster down, because you are not going to change and the only person that poster fools is yourself.
Work-life balance isn’t a one-time achievement; it’s an ongoing practice of checking in with yourself and adjusting as needed. Some weeks may lean more toward work, and others toward personal life, and that’s okay. If you're chasing balance, remember: you can do anything, but not everything at once. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/dralishalakhani_onethingtoknow-worklifebalance-prioritizewhatmatters-activity-7265779268066934784-O4KT?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop
If you're a fresher, never hesitate to take up new work. Even if you don't know about it, take it up. Learn, and give your best at it. Fresher means learning stage, and you won't learn if you keep saying no to new work.
