Mastercard announced a strong start to 2025 in earnings today, capping off a busy week. Coins, cross-border and commerce... we showcased more ways that Mastercard is building new partnerships to shape the future of payments. 🪙 Enabling seamless, global stablecoin payments by partnering with OKX and Nuvei to allow consumers to spend and merchants to accept stablecoins, creating a fully integrated digital asset ecosystem across wallets, cards, and settlements. 🌍 Investing $300M in Corpay’s cross-border business and naming Corpay our exclusive partner for commercial cross-border payments, expanding end-to-end solutions for financial institutions and enhancing global reach across carded and non-carded transactions. 📱 Partnering with Microsoft and leading AI platforms to launch Agent Pay, a secure and scalable agentic payments solution that integrates AI-powered assistants with tokenized, personalized, and trusted payment experiences across the commerce ecosystem. 🔒 Launching our tokenization service in China is a big step forward in making payments safer and easier for people in the country. By replacing sensitive card details with secure tokens, we are helping reduce fraud and make it more likely that payments go through, giving everyone more trust in the digital economy. From digital assets to AI-driven commerce, we’re redefining what’s possible in payments. Check out more in the comments 👇🏼 #Stablecoins #CrossBorderPayments #AgenticCommerce #Tokenization

Spending up = Mastercard wins People keep spending, Mastercard profits beat forecasts ($3.4B). Visa too. Both now adding AI shopping helpers. Economy shaky? Cards still winning. (Word count: ~25) Or super short: "Mastercard thrives as shoppers keep swiping. AI shopping tools coming." (~10 words) Pick your preferred length!

Really impressive updates, Ling Hai. The way Mastercard is expanding into tokenization, AI-driven payments, and cross-border ecosystems is a clear signal of where the future of finance is headed. Here in Dubai, there’s a noticeable surge in demand for digital wallets, contactless-first experiences, and localized remittance solutions — especially as banks and fintechs race to innovate. I’ve been exploring some ideas around Contactless.ae, Remittance.ae, DebitCard.ae, Deposit.ae, BNK.ae, FNC.ae and in Qatar Payments.qa - all anchored around the same user shift: people want trust, speed, and simplicity in how they move their money. It’s a fascinating space to be part of - and inspiring to watch it accelerate on a global level.
