Four decades. Countless lessons. Madhumita Basu shares why empathy isn’t something you ‘apply’, it's who you are. We think of empathy as a soft skill, but what happens when you bring it into industries built on cement and pressure? That’s exactly what I explored in my latest episode of An Inquiry into Empathy Quotient™ with Madhumita Basu a business leader with nearly four decades of experience in marketing, strategy, and leadership across sectors where very few women have made it to the top. Her powerful reflections shine through, in the anecdotes shared: - Putting aside one's ego and focusing on grasping the other person's context - Finding empathy in boardrooms and beyond - The role of humour and respect in leadership - Why leading starts with how you speak to yourself Unscripted, no retakes and some honest confessions. Hope you find this podcast as insightful as I did. You’ve heard me say this before and I’ll say it again: clarity is leadership. When we hand off work without clear accountabilities, we don’t delegate — we delay. We stay stuck in the weeds, fixing and following up, instead of actually leading. Here’s what I’ve learned: ✅ Be crystal clear on what needs to be done. ✅ Offer ideas on how — but don’t hover. ✅ Define what success looks like and what happens when it’s met. Then — and this is the hardest part — let other people own it. When you stop micromanaging, you stop being the bottleneck. And that’s where real growth happens. 🎧 In this week's episode of Female Founder Unplugged, I'm sharing how clarity changes everything — for your team, your energy, and your business. Welcome to episode 48 of Leadership TrailMix, my first one interviewing another podcaster, so the stakes were high 😉 Traci Austin, MPA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, PCC and I had a lot of fun talking about leadership in the trades, and the many powerful lessons it can teach us about leading people (that's what we all are at the end of the day!) in an engaging way that is tailored to what the needs of those we lead are. Listen 🎧, subscribe 🔔, rate ⭐️, and share ↪️! Link in the comments ⬇️ #LeadershipTrailMix #Podcast #Trades #People #StopBitchingStartPitching

🚀 I’m thrilled to share that the first episode of 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭_𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐝𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭 is almost here! For the first episode, I sat down with five young professionals: Asha J. Richards, Arvind Ilamaran, Reuben Aubee, Tim E., and Nicolas Devia-Valbuena. This episode is special for many reasons. First, it marks the beginning of this podcast journey. For this occasion, I wanted to start by sitting down with some peers—to take stock of what’s happening in our fields today. Second, it’s a little longer than what’s to come. While future episodes will spotlight one guest at a time, this one brings multiple guests for a thoughtful conversation, bringing a diversity of both field and regional perspectives. Together, we explore the current state of our work amidst global change—its impacts, opportunities, and what it means for emerging leaders striving to make a difference. 🔗 𝑷𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒖𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒖𝒃𝒔𝒄𝒓𝒊𝒃𝒆, 𝒇𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒚 𝒕𝒖𝒏𝒆𝒅: 🎥 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐓𝐮𝐛𝐞 [https://lnkd.in/eYz9gRF3] 🎧𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐲 [https://lnkd.in/eNab5nFw] 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐝𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐬 [https://lnkd.in/eUKb9pTU] 🗞️📩 𝐌𝐭𝐌_𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 [https://lnkd.in/et4J44WH] 💬𝐗 [https://lnkd.in/eajams7c] 📸𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 [https://lnkd.in/ev3JsbTS] #MeetingTheMoment_ThePodcast #MtM_ThePodcast #PodcastLaunch #Leadership #VisionIntegrityEmpathy #PurposeDrivenLeadership #FosteringSensibleLeadership #EpisodeRelease

Most people wait too long to build their network, until they need it. That’s a mistake. In this clip from the latest Time to Press Pause episode, Sophie Devonshire⚡️ shares how moving abroad taught her the power of audacity and community. She didn’t wait for introductions, she created them. Asked for help. Met new people. Built connections that lasted far beyond any single role. If you’ve been too busy “doing the job” to build your network, this is your reminder: Start now. Before you need it. Just finished recording a podcast and wow, it reminded me why I love great conversations. You know those chats where the ideas flow, there’s genuine curiosity, and you feel seen and heard? That’s the magic of connection — and it’s something we can all learn to build intentionally. In the episode, we unpack: - How to move past imposter syndrome and self-doubt when networking - The real difference between mentors, sponsors, and coaches - Why micro-moments of connection, what we call Pebble Leadership (TM), can transform relationships and culture at work Can’t wait for you to tune in soon. This one was pure joy to film! #Leadership #Networking #Connection #PebbleLeadership #Podcast

🌟 Guest of the Month: Giralda Chiverton Last month on the BsquaredC Podcast, we sat down with Giralda: a tech leader, community builder, and passionate advocate for embracing every part of who you are. From navigating career shifts to building confidence after self-doubt, Giralda reminded us that authenticity is power and that our differences are what make us stand out. 💡 Build community wherever you go. 💡 Own your story, even the imperfect parts. 💡 Confidence grows when you stop asking for permission to be yourself. Thank you, Giralda, for sharing your story with such warmth and honesty. You’ve reminded us that leadership begins with self-acceptance and that true impact starts when we show up as ourselves. 🎧 Missed the episode?
