10 things I learned in 2024 personally & professionally! 1. Traveled to five new states of India (North East & Central India, and One new country (Vietnam) 2. Learned the biggest lesson of not compromising on health at any cost; I started intense workouts and a journey towards getting fit! No excuse! 3. Managed to read six books and watched 80+ regional and international cinema 4. Learned how to be more patient and understanding. This has helped me in all areas of my life 5. Understood managing things with Gen Z at work and Gen Alpha at home ;) 6. I Started my year with the Best Upcoming Talent of the Year at Blaze Award and Ended my year with the Most Valuable Team of Collabera Award at Blaze! 7. Grew my team from four to ten in just 11 months! 8. Started developing an approach to focusing on strategic initiatives while ignoring unimportant things, transactions, and toxic people! 9. Accomplished and Implemented what I learned during 'Empowered 360' Training 10. Forget resolutions; adopt a 'life theme.' Excited to share that I’ve joined The Narayana Group as part of their Product team! 🎉 I started looking for new opportunities towards the end of August. Within 10 days, I started getting calls, and in another couple of weeks, I had 5 offers to choose from. It wasn’t an easy decision, but I’m excited about my next step with Narayana. With 1Y 8M YOE and a B-Tech (Tier-3), I knew I had to take a different approach. What worked for me was not just applying randomly but taking the time to research the people behind the roles. I reached out, set up meetings, and asked for referrals where it felt right—it made the whole process feel more meaningful, not just transactional. Finding opportunity is a matter of believing it’s there… Reflecting on 2024, it’s been a rollercoaster year. → Joined IIDE - The Digital School in April as my first full-time corporate job post-AIESEC (after 4 years). → Main responsibility: Expanding operations in North India. Recently, during the Diwali Town Hall, I was honored with the Excellence Award for Teamwork and Collaboration, despite having the least tenure in the organization. Wait! This post isn’t about bragging about the achievement. Today, I want to share a key learning from one of my biggest successes in 2024: How did I do it? - Practiced giving back without expecting anything in return. - Embraced a growth mindset and learned from everyone. - Doubled my failure rate to learn faster. - Stayed agile in a new environment. - Remained true to my core values. That’s it! Remember: The pessimist sees a problem in every opportunity. The optimist finds opportunity in every problem. Today is a blank page of 12 chapters and 365 opportunities— Learn, fail, grow, and succeed. What the new year brings to you will depend on what you bring to it. During our presentation, we delved into the journey of Saving Grains and how we're transforming waste into sustainable & nutritious food products. "Waste is what's left when imagination fails." This quote encapsulates our approach at Saving Grains. We explored the concept of invisible food, such as spent grain from microbreweries, and its potential to be transformed into nutritious products. Did you know that Bangalore's microbreweries produce around 12,000 kilograms of spent grain daily? We discussed the nutritional benefits of spent grain, containing 23% protein and 46% fiber, and how we're upcycling it into flour, chapatis, laddoos, and granola through our micro-upcycling kitchens. Our mission is not just about creating tasty treats but reimagining our relationship with food and the planet. By preventing waste from ending up in landfills, we're reducing our environmental footprint and supporting local communities.
