Are majority of CEO’s Communication Blind? Unrealistic expectations from the CEO's, only damage the company’s reputation. When the #Communication head fails to tell the CEO what PR and #MediaRelations can & cannot deliver, they fall short of their role. It is in the CEO’s own interest to have communication experts around them who can speak up, correct misconceptions, and tell the truth. #Leadership #Communication #Reputation #PR

🎙️What is PR, really? And do you actually need it? It’s a question we hear a lot. As our co-host Michael de Waal-Montgomery explains in this clip from The Strategy Table, the answer is simpler than you think, it's about helping leaders be seen where their peers are seen. When a leader sees a competitor on CNBC, their instinct is, "I should be in that conversation, too." That's where strategic PR comes in. To position you in the top publications and alongside the voices that matter in your industry. Whether you're a Fortune 500 or a growing company, PR is crucial for your brand. 🔉 Michael unpacks this and more with Prayaank Gupta in our latest episode. One of the biggest misconceptions in PR is that “transparency” means showing all your cards. This often leads brands and clients to prefer sharing nothing rather than everything. Believe it or not, you can thread the needle with transparency and effective communications. One of the first lessons I learned in PR at S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University My professor gave an example I’ll never forget: If someone asks, “Do you know what time it is?” and you respond, “Yes,” you’ve technically told the truth — and you’ve actually answered the question. It was such a small illustration, but it’s stuck with me and helps to guide our counsel to clients when a conversation necessitates their voice on sensitive issues. #PublicRelations #Transparency #Leadership #Communication #PRLessons #PR

PR isn’t broken, the problem lies in the way people think about it. Most professionals are still chasing headlines and vanity metrics while still wondering why nothing sticks. The real game? Credibility. Consistency. Conversations that actually move the needle. If your PR strategy can’t show impact beyond “we were featured,” you don’t have PR. Do you agree or disagree? #prstrategy #brandauthority #leadership

🔥 This right here is the difference between publicity and public perception. PR was never about the vanity headlines — it’s always been about positioning, resonance, and long-game credibility. If your brand’s name is everywhere but your message still isn’t landing… it’s not reach you lack — it’s relevance. 👏 More of this, please. Let’s build narratives that live beyond the news cycle. #ThatPRchic #PRWithImpact #MediaStrategy #LeadershipMessaging #SmartPR

Ever wonder why even the sharpest internal communications sometimes fall flat? 🤔 It’s not just about stunning visuals or perfect messaging. I recently tuned into an episode of Masters of Comms with Pravin Patil from Axis Bank, and it hit home: distribution infrastructure is just as crucial as the message itself. You can craft a flawless internal campaign, but if it doesn’t reach people at the right time, through the right channels, its impact is limited. Pravin breaks down the three pillars that must work together to drive real change: branding, content, and technology. This reminds me how critical it is to think beyond content creation and focus on how messages move through an organization. How are you ensuring your internal communications actually connect with your teams? Let’s swap ideas and elevate engagement together! 🎯 🔊 Curious to hear the full insights?
