Does public speaking make you nervous? It should. Nerves mean you care about the audience. 🥰 Back when I was on TV and about to interview someone live, I would ask during the commercial before we went on, “Are you nervous?” If they said no, I become nervous. Too many times that red light would go on and the overly confident person would epically FAIL! Here are some high level tips I share with the brilliant professional I coach. No shocker - preparation is key. Honored to be working with Lightwave Dental again this year. Happy to make the #eventplannerlife easier. Here’s to #charisma #executivepresence and great #storytelling
Loved working with you!!
Love this, way to go!
Nobody any better at coaching speakers than Katrina!!
Katrina is amazing!!!
Great job. Katrina! 🥰
Love this!!! So many people have great stories but are afraid to public speak! I have found it’s hard for me to advise or mentor because it comes so naturally to me especially if someone has seen me speak. Many times, I’m on a dais where I am first and the other speakers are relatively new. When I find that out, I make sure to mention in my remarks about how hard it is to take the stage and then I always make sure to compliment the speakers after and tell them what part of their story or presentation left an impression. You know what’s funny, I’m nervous as ever until I hit the stage…😂😂😂 Once the lights and mic turn on…it’s showtime and my nerves leave.
Awww gotta love the Westin in uptown Charlotte! I love when my Milwaukee and Charlotte worlds collide. ❤️

2moI actually thought of you this last week when I was getting ready to speak… I remembered you telling me this same advise over 10 years ago. It is timeless! And you told me that professional speakers practice, practice, practice! So grateful for you Katrina Cravy!
