We need to rethink the way we define a “career gap.” Time spent raising our babies is not time lost—it’s time spent developing some of the most transferable skills there are: leadership, negotiation, crisis management, and efficiency. It is also the work of shaping, guiding, and raising the next generation—responsibility that requires intention, patience (and lots of it), and long-term vision. At the same time, I’ve continued to invest in myself—building new skills, expanding my knowledge, and finding ways to grow both personally and professionally in this season. I’m beyond proud of this chapter, my personal transformations and the perspective it has given me. Stay at home mom is the hardest job I’ve ever had. I look forward to applying both my prior experience and these strengthened capabilities in my next phase. (Photo: the reason behind it all—and the greatest leadership experience I could ask for is being their Mom. 3 babies in 3 years, the biggest blessing.) #momlife #growthmindset #boymom #careertransition #womeninbusiness #powerpause #motherhood
Love this, Kate!
