Unfortunately after a great run for 18 years from lynda.com to LinkedIn, my role was impacted by workforce changes today. This road started years ago and I will forever be grateful for the many experiences, friends, teammates, and customers that I have encountered during this tenure. After navigating hyper growth, acquisitions, team changes, role changes, and see friends come-and-go, it is my time to look for my next play outside of LinkedIn. I am currently taking time to process this along with peers who were also affected but will be searching soon. I have absolutely loved watching LinkedIn Learning become what it is today and I still have a passion for Professional Development and connecting with customers in a meaningful way. It will just look different in this next phase...
From the very beginning, you made Lynda.com a comforting and familiar place to visit. You were the first person that the author saw when they walked through the door and the person who made sure that if there was something they needed, they got it. Fast-forward to yesterday where you were still bringing new people through the door and making sure they got exactly what they needed. Kali, you are a legend.
You were and always will be the beating heart of Lynda and LiL.
After many years across lynda.com and LinkedIn, my role was impacted by workforce changes. It’s been an incredible journey filled with growth, transitions, and people who made the work meaningful along the way. What stands out most is not the title or the changes over time, but the shared mission of helping people learn and grow professionally. I’m proud of what LinkedIn Learning has become and grateful to have been part of that story. Now taking time to reflect and figure out what comes next.
The LinkedIn Carp office will not be the same without your infectious energy Kali. Wherever you land they are incredibly lucky to have you. You are responsible for some of my favorite memories at our campus. I hope you know how big of an impact you have on your colleagues and your customers. <3
Kali!! Your journey has truly been incredible and so inspiring. I still remember meeting with you my first week and being blown away by your deep product knowledge, customer care, and dedication. Through every evolution of LinkedIn Learning, you continuously adapted, learned, and led others through change with such strategic expertise and grace. You’ve undoubtedly made a lasting impact on every customer and teammate lucky enough to work with you along the way. I, myself feel incredibly lucky to have worked so closely with you over the past couple of years, and I know for certain that you’ll thrive in whatever comes next —whether that’s in or outside of LinkedIn. ❤️
So glad I ran into you one last time in the cafe last week. They might as well have named our campus Kali’s House—you were the light of this campus for so many years and helped me believe this was an amazing place to be and work at. Thanks for all the events, memories and CULTURE that you brought to this workplace and life!
Kali, I remember when I first started at lynda 12 years ago and there you were. A beautiful, beaming force of realness who was always so incredibly helpful and got shit done. I appreciated your guidance so much. Layoffs hit me today, too. But you know what? That just means it's time for something bigger and better for us. You got this, we got this. Let's gooooo!
Kali.. You have always been such a huge part of Lynda, LinkedIn, and then Microsoft. You’ve had so many roles and networked like it was your middle name. You’ve touched many peoples lives all around this world. It’s their loss and now you’re moving to “the better” with less STRESS at work.
As Kali's very proud Father, it is truly amazing to read these comments and support for her.
