Wisdom from comics… At times we fall, we fail, to succeed, we always have to rise. To apologise is to have humility and ownership of a wrong done. You and I may not be the person who have done it. Forgiveness… that’s another act altogether. It starts with the man in the mirror. As a leader, we lead. Go forth where no one (but today lots of gone before) has gone before, therefore we march ahead with wisdom from leadership past. Fine tuning it to our environment but lead, and first we march. In my recent training session, these were the challenges faced: 1- they do not listen to me..! 2- how to engage the silent ones? 3- how to defuse those who are derailing the meeting with objectives not relevant to the meetings? When encounter these.. first act.. breathe. We need to keep in check our emotions first. These 3 points are also a reflection of their emotions. Think about it… It comes down to reflections and not being heard. I shared steps in the session on how to execute these motions and have them role play with me. Happy that they are willing to go back to their environment and make attempts.
