I’m incredibly proud to share that earlier this week I was presented with the Product Safety Engineering Award for BAE Systems Air, following my recognition at the FalconWorks line of business awards back in December. Having started my Master’s in Safety Engineering 18 months ago, receiving the FalconWorks Safety Awards in both 2024 and 2025, and now the Air Sector award in 2026, it genuinely feels surreal. To be recognised at this level is both humbling and incredibly motivating. With this year’s theme focused on collaboration, it was inspiring to hear about the impactful work being delivered across the business. It also provided a valuable moment to reflect on the experiences I’ve been fortunate to be part of. From implementing new risk assessment methodologies across a portfolio of Uncrewed Air Systems, embodying the ‘risk-aware, objective-focused’ approach, and contributing to the development of truly game changing capabilities, I feel privileged to play a role in this work.
