A new review show introduces a three-category rating system: Binge Now, Binge Later, and Binge Never. This approach acknowledges the overwhelming amount of content available and provides viewers with more nuanced guidance than a simple thumbs up or down. It also encourages viewers to consider their own priorities and viewing habits. How might this type of rating system influence viewing choices? #TVReview #ContentStrategy #MediaAnalysis #BingeWatching

Happy New Year and Happy Friday! Many of you were (rightfully) curious about what the AR/VR newscasts actually look like. Yep, that big green bowl from my last post becomes this. The only tangible visuals in these clips are our anchor, Sharon Lawson, and meteorologist Dagmar Midcap. We checked, they’re real. It’s been a learning curve for everyone involved, from producers (hey Kendrick Henderson) and directors to talent. This clip shows three distinct environments: local news, sports, and weather. We operate with one jib and one operator who’s in motion for the entire broadcast, you’ll never see a static shot. In my opinion, that constant movement makes the storytelling far more engaging. The sky is truly the limit with this set.

Everyone keeps saying the Stranger Things Season 5 backlash is about “politics”. I don’t think it is. I think it’s about craft. Viewers aren’t rejecting queerness. They’re reacting to uneven writing, a rushed payoff, and an arc that feels compressed rather than earned. When a story leans too hard on late-stage reframing, it doesn’t feel bold — it feels thin. I’ve written a long-form piece on why Robin Buckley's coming-out worked, why Will Byer’s didn’t land for many, and why the real issue isn’t what the show chose to do, but how — and when — it did it. If you care about storytelling, pacing, performance, and why audiences push back when something feels “shoehorned”, this one’s for you: 👉 https://lnkd.in/e58tP493 Happy to hear disagreements — as long as we’re talking about the writing and performance, not fighting culture wars. #StrangerThings #StrangerThings5 #Netflix #Storytelling #CharacterArc #CharacterDevelopment #Pacing #TVCriticism #MediaAnalysis #Performance
