John D.’s Post

You weren't laid off; you graduated. You contributed and built something significant. Your work mattered and you matter beyond any macroeconomic reorganization of American labor not seen in decades. I often see LinkedIn "tHOugHt lEAdeRShip" about tech layoffs. That analysis is facile. If a layoff happens, like it has for so many employees this week, I hope your connections have the discernment to run towards you in this moment. And then I hope they offer their network, their solidarity, and their support during the tough times in life. And that goes for me, too. I know some people don't like announcing transitions. But you can count on me, come rain or come shine. If we're connected, I'll be there for you.

John, I deeply appreciate this perspective. My own experience showed me that true opportunities often begin with a thoughtful conversation, not a form submission, especially during challenging times. That's why I founded Junior, to help job seekers connect more meaningfully and create those real conversations. Your call for connections to run towards those in need is vital.

This is a very thoughtful way to look at layoffs and career transitions
